Press reports are saying six weeks out but the below from Hoddle sounds better....MMMmmm dodgy...he needs to get back to get his fitness or he will never last both matches. On a brighter note...Clinton, I thought played very well today against Liverpool and got the winner too.. closey Republic of Ireland international striker Robbie Keane could be out for further two weeks Tottenham Hotspur have revealed, though, at this stage, there is no danger that he could miss Ireland's two crucial European Championship Qualifiers against Georgia and Albania in five weeks time. Keane strained knee ligaments in Tottenham's 4-1 win over Sunderland two weeks ago forcing him to miss Brian Kerr's senior managerial debut against Scotland, but after originally being tipped to return against Fulham, Spurs have now conceded that an early return is optimistic. "We're hoping it is not too long before Robbie returns," manager Glenn Hoddle said. "He doesn't need an operation. We have set no time for his return and it is very disappointing." However, Keane's disappointment may be fellow Ireland's international Gary Doherty's opportunity as he is expected to line-up in attack. Doherty replaced Keane against Sunderland scoring Tottenham's second goal. Although also a centre-back, Doherty has an impressive record when playing in attack and has scored two goals for Ireland in 14 appearances and was selected in attack in Keane's absence against Scotland.
yea thats three in the two matches...he also has bagged a few against Liverpool when he was at Palace I remember......he still needs to work on not getting caught offside....its irritating! closey
