Robbie C'deBaca of Albuquerque, New Mexico, will play for NEC Nijmegen's youth team this season. He plans to retain his amateur status.

Last I heard, Charles Kazlauskas was there as well, though I believe he is actually with the first team. Go Nijmegen.

Jinne is the only poster I know who speaks Dutch on this forum and Babbelfish offers no Dutch translator. Usually you can find Jinne in the Ajax threads.

You can use WorldLingo's translator to get the general gist of the discussion.

They seem to be worried about Kazlauskas' ability to ever contribute to the top team.

Good find on C'deBaca. He's an 84, which is the same age group as Edward Johnson and Santino Quaranta.

Can we ask this guy to change his last name? I can just see how it will be butchered on this board (well at least by me)!

He kind of struggled when I saw him, but that was only for one match. I think it's great he's making this move.

If his name comes from "Cabeza de Vaca", then it would be understandable why it should be butchered. Keep the cow, but chop off the head.

    Spanish 101: Cabeza=head, vaca=cow

Or, if he's crap, just call him C'debacle.

    Alvar Nunez...

... though Cabeza de Vaca (like the explorer) referred to the family being head of the cattle growing guild. Actually quite prestigious in its day, though a woman would have to really love a guy to marry in to that one today!

And who says BigSoccer isn't educational? And isn't "Kirovski" an old church Slavic phrase for "he who sits on the pew"?
