Ronnie O'Brien will have surgery on his broken leg on Monday or Tuesday. The Burn training staff did not want to put a time frame on his recovery until after the surgery as too much will depend on what is found. Several initial guesses by different sources on the time frame for recovery range from 6 to 10 months.

6-10 months?? Holy sh!t, that bone must have been totally shattered. A clean break would take nowhere near that time.
This is beyond sucking, just when we thought things couldn't get worse for our team. Great timing DEMA you bastard.

My next (and permanent) sign for all home games:

    BAN KOVALENKO!!!!

Every fan in every MLS stadium should get this sign in front of TV cameras at every opportunity. For the entire season.
Don't let MLS slap a 3 game suspension on this and then expect it to go away.

This is just ridiculous and very sad. I really felt Ronnie was starting to take off down there (not that he was bad last year). Condolences to him and to the Burn fans.

I feel really bad for Ronnie. We were at his very first game, he had just arrived and the Burn were playing the Earthquakes. Ronnie comes in late in the game and immediately scored. I enjoyed waching him play. Hope he recovers soon.

Boy, I hope Oscar comes back soon or we are done. ROB has been the engine on this team. I watched the tape a couple of times & as soon as he was carted off, the burn attack lost steam. That hustle will be impossible to replace.

Any word yet on how the surgery went? There hasn't been anything posted on the dallasburn.com.

    Hoping everything went well

Report out of Burn training staff is that ROB's op went "Fine"
And that he may be able to go home from the hospital today.

Has anybody heard about the extent of the injury? Was the bone broken in one place or several?
