He literally had his worst season as a pro and is aging and yet he upgrades to better league, good for him.
Just found out that he holds a Green Card so that might have played a big role. Still would have guessed Emilio over him.

Denil will reportedly join Orlando City, I’m not excited since they have been mediocre since joining the league.
Maynor Figueroa will not be signing a new contract with the Dynamo. The veteran is closing negotiations to return to Honduras with Olimpia.— Foxtrot (@DynamicFoxtrot) December 12, 2019 Really is the end of an era.
Rumors left and right that Benguche will go on trial with Cadiz. Don't think.Darixon will go to Danubio unfortunately.
Cadiz is running away with 1st place in Segunda Division meanwhile in Portugal Nacional is in 2nd place but the battle for those top two spots is close.

So we got a little over 2 months till we make our Olympic campaign debut against Haiti.. Players I'd assume that would be locked in for the Olympic team: GK: Alex Guity (Olimpia) DF: Denil Maldonado (Motagua), Carlos Melendez (Vida), Bryan Barrios (Marathon) MF: Kervin Arriaga (Marathon), Carlos Pineda (Olimpa), Jorge Alvarez (Olimpia), Edwin Rodriguez (Olimpia), Edwin Solani Solano (Marathon) FWD: Darixon Vuelto (Real Espana) Those are the local kids.. not really sure if Rigoberto and Douglas Martinez would get released for the Olympic Qualifiers.. I'd also assume a couple of players not listed might make their way onto this list like Cristhian Calix whose back on-loan at Marathon and would benefit from that immensely.
Douglas likely will get released considering that the USA U23 will have MLS players on their squad. Also don’t forget Josue Villafranca who had a 9 goal season as another option. With Danilo signing with the La Galaxy I expect him to possibly get a call up by the Olympic squad even if it’s just a training camp or a friendly.
If he doesn’t make the U23 roster for USA his national team chances are not looking so hot, meanwhile if we manage to qualify and we offer him a spot on the U23 he might take it.
I don't think he cares tbh... I'm pretty sure his sole focus, is to solidify a roster spot and challenge for a starting spot on the Galaxy. I'm pretty sure he isn't on the US radar anymore, but with what happened with Honduras, I'll be pretty surprised if he decides to play this tournament.
Looks like Ligue 1 team Amiens FC (currently in 17th place) made a 2.8 million offer for Alberth Elis that was rejected.
Watching Vida n Progreso play last night only reminds me that Jordy Castro is going to be the starting goalie for the Olympic team. He's very very good.
