THE CALEB PORTER CREW SOCCER SHOW HAS EXPLODED INTO THE SUMMER. THE DEBUT OF THE NEWEST AND GREATEST HERO, GAOCHO, HAS REVITALIZED OUR YELLOW CLAD CREW! COMBINING HIS POWERS WITH THE MAGIC OF THE SAGE (LUCAS), OUR HEROES LOOK BETTER THAN EVER! THE TIMING COULD NOT BE BETTER, AS NOW THE TRUE RIVAL APPROACHES. NEARLY EQUAL IN THE RACE FOR THE END OF THE SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT, EVERY ENGAGEMENT NOW BECOMES EVER MORE IMPORTANT!!! THE GREAT RIVAL WILL MARCH INTO THE FORTRESS, AND BRING SOME OF THEIR CITIZENS WITH THEM. BUT, SURELY WITH THE NEWFOUND POWER OF GAOCHO, OUR CREW CANT POSSIBLY LOSE!!!......
I'd been looking forward to this game for a month. I was going to bring my nephew, and we were actually going to do a Clippers/Crew double feature. That's out the window. I'm not paying $200+ to drag an 11-year-old to a potential rain-out and a possible three-hour delay.
I get what you're saying but at the same time, ong after he's forgotten who won or lost a game he'll remember the insane day he spent with you. When he's 60 he won't be repeating an old boring story about the day Cucho beat Cincy single handed, he'll be retelling the tale of him and his uncle surviving brutal elements. It won't be nearly as much fun toive through but the memory it creates of a shared experience will be way better.
I may be an island in the stream and I might have been a coward of the county, but I am no gambler. Fact... Cucho performance: 1st game - 1 goal 2nd game - 2 goals Whether it is sequential or exponential, if this trend continues.... a-y-y-y!
So, @LaMacchia, is this really a thing? Or are they trying to make it a thing and it’s not really a thing? The human rights situation in Ohio right now is so absolutely revolting that I am having trouble caring about this game between two Ohio teams at all but I hope they both play hard.
It's officially an unofficial thing. The Nordecke isn't pushing it, though. Let me just say that there are a lot of groups telling people to wear a lot of colors.
If you don't chose Crew by 2 for this game then to Hell with you! Also where Black and Yellow. Show the most love for the team as you can for this rivalry game. In fact let's just make it about showing Love for one another and enjoy some soccer. Cut the protests that have little to no impact or certainly don't impact those they are most targeted at. Wasted energy. Wanna change things? - VOTE - that's it - that's the answer.
My plans are Clippers this Sunday (better shot of getting played with the earlier start) and Crew/Revs next weekend.
Hopefully lessons have been learned. If there's 10 different ways to get word out regarding any weather delays, the majority will be used. (Some may be more feasible/realistic than others.)

This is probably going to be some degree of sacrelige, but I remember Brian McBride's eye injury and the goal being scored right as the toilet paper was being thrown into the goal and mostly because of the Cypress Hill video. I also remember the frigid weather, standing for the entire game because it was too cold to sit, the Mexican team refusing to come out of the locker room until the last minute, the day-long hype, the stories of how the parking lot was closed and people tailgating at the motel south of the stadium, introducing each other by their BigSoccer usernames, etc. In other words, I definitely remember far more surrounding the 2/28/01 game than the game itself.
