Rivaldo

    It has been made clear that Rivaldo is on his way out at AC Milan. Seeing as he's up in the years (early 30's I believe) would it be possible or even wise to lure him to MLS. We certainly woulnd't want another Lothar, but Rivaldo still plays with mad skill.

    I think he can still play for a top division club, maybe not milan, but top divison.

    puff puff GIVE!!!

    First of all, the guy has no personality. His pre-teen son is more photogenic and media saavy than Rivaldo himself ever will be.

    Second of all, it would take the sum total of all MLS salaries to lure him here. So if you'd want just one player over an entire league, then yours is a great idea.

    Third, you assume that he'd even entertain the idea to come play in MLS. Making the phone call to his agent would probably be a waste of time.

    He wouldn't draw SA fans who otherwise do not attend MLS. Bad investment. MLS is not competing with EPL.

    Better to go with young, developing players at this stage of MLS.
