I couldn't believe the Greek newspapers talking about how Olympiako wanted to sign him, but then they did after a couple days. Good luck in the league. I wonder how Olympiako is going to do in Champion's League now.

My dad couldn't be happier. Neither can I. It's going to be so cool sitting in Thira 13 booing him.

I dont think mits a surprise. Rivaldo needs a return to European football to kickstart the career that Milan ruined. Olympiakos offers him champions league football, good money and an opportunity to revive himself. Also, in the greek league, he may actually have a chance to star like he did for Barcelona.

Someboy will drop a pen that hits him in the leg at the signing but he will act like he got stabbed in the eye with it.

Congratulations to ur team by signing a player that havent been playing football proply for 2 years.LOL. Man fenerbahce transferred Alex which is the future braziallian star for 14 millions dolars which is cheap for that good player. He is an assist machine and goals scorer at the same time. Himm . what do you know, one day your team might have some money to buy a real player.

Laterzzz geeks. sorry, i mean greeeks

Noo. You understand me wrong. Man you guys need to transfer young future star players that dont cost much. eg: Alex De souza is a future brazilian star and guess how much we payed, 14million dolars. Did you know barcelona was also thinking to buy alex but since fenerbahce payed more then barcelona, alex came to fenerbahce. Oh yeah, i know barcelona is richer then fenerbahce.

I thought that the real sucess of a nations football was to create the good players ...

    Not buy them

I can understand of course how good foreign players lift the level of play for young national talent too, but...

... buying expensive players is just the tip of the iceberg.

First teams have to work in infrastructure.

And Turkish teams have invested more than Greek Teams in average (not all Greek teams) in that. This is why Turkey did reach the final 4 of the World Cup.

Listen, I dont have a problem with serious discussion and I am the first one to accept all goods by anyone and highlight all bad things with a reasoned opinion attached.

but we need to start talking seriously first. ;)

Just a question: Are the young, promising players that have join Turkish football during the last years, Giorge Hadji or Claudio Tafarel? I dont think so. They were already old enough. But... Giorge was the star of Galatasaray when they won the UEFA cup. conclusion: A football star is allways a great asset for a club (unless he is so old that he cannot walk). As far as I have seen up to now, Rivaldo, not only can walk but he can also run :)

So, yes! Alex is a briliant player. But castillio and Maric are also briliant players. Of course, you have never heard of them (though Castillio scored against Galatasaray last year), but thats why Olympiakos never had to pay a 20 million Euros to sign them!!! Remember their names.

ur right about that - cause it's not my habit to watch my rivalys matches (Galatasaray). As u will see in my details, I support Fenerbahce so i dont really care about ******** galatasaray.
