Very sad and disturbing for me personally. While i support Man Utd, if that happened to us i just cannot imagine myself feeling so pissed off with Sir Alex that i would write a letter with death threats in it. How do all you Leeds fans out there feel and fans of all other clubs for that matter? I know Leeds fans would feel pissed off and rightly so, but pissed off to the point that you send death threats to Risdale? Put yourself in their position and tell me...

This is the time when supporters need to get right behind their club and support the team, not resort to things like this.

as one of the more popular chants went yesterday....

same tune as "We all love Leeds" or the song Arsenal have for Theirry Henry

"Support the team, Sack the Board"

Leeds gambled with some big money signings to try and get into the big time .The gamble didnt pay off and this resulted in massive debts..
Missing out on a champions league place hit them hard .I can see some other teams going the same way in the future ..Teams who spend big and miss the champions league will be in trouble.

Now ridsdale has dismantled the team that reached the semi finals of the champions league...
No wonder the fans are fuming..

Strange that nobody was protesting when he was spending the fortune that lead to this inevitable situation. Unlike other clubs Leeds can hardly claim to have spent massive amounts on improving their stadium recently either.

Well I think this is what you get for spending money you dont have!
Leeds are MASSIVELY in debt. It was inevitable really.

Well unless they won the Champions league!
I ask in all seriousness, will this end now?

Leeds were reportedly about £80m in debt.
Thats an awful lot of money, I wouldn't be surprised to see more players on their way out in the near future!

we have cut about £10m from the wage bill now....

    and we've sold for...

    Rio - £30m
    Woody - £9m
    Keane - £7m
Dacourt - loan (but will probably be bought for £6m)
    Fowler - £6m
    Bowyer - £250k?

If you add up those 6 transfers then you have a total of £58m

You do have to feel a bit bad for Fowler and Woody though. Neither of them wanted to leave the club but were pushed out the door.

Bowyer, Rio, Dacourt, and Keane did want to go (for different reasons-- Bow and Rio are greedy, Dacourt didn't get on with the managment and Keane wanted first team football)

Of course anyone that thinks that the remedy for the Leeds situation is murder belongs in funny house.

I keep thinking.... What will the starting lineup look like next season? I'm thinking there might be 4-5 people starting this season that will be around next season.

What amazes me is how Leeds thought they could spend so much, and rely on incomes that where less than certain.

Leeds does not draw the same revenues as the likes of United, Arsenal, and Liverpool, in terms of Leeds Utd the brand, it ranks low in the UK (outside Leeds), and nowhere worldwide.

Also, they rushed into spending all this money so quickly. Look at United, it took the board years to get the revenue streams in place to fund the club, then Ferguson got the money he needed to build the club. Along with investment in the youth program.

Once Leeds has trimmed its wage bill, and sorted its finances, maybe they should look at setting up a really good youth system, rather than rely on buying in talent.

The thing is they did have a really good youth system but Paul Hart felt it didn't get the recognition it deserved and moved to Forest (thank you Leeds).

James Milner, Harry Kewell, Alan Smith and Jonathan Woodgate are all products of the Leeds youth system
