Plans have been finalized regarding the Riptide bus trip on August 21st to the Breakers home game in New Britain, CT against the Atlanta Beat. The bus will depart from the Riverside Green line/Bus Depot off of Rt-128 on Grove St at 12pm. The bus will return to Riverside immediately after the game is over (roughly 9pm N. Britain departure time). The cost for the bus will be $20 for members of Riptide and $30 for non-members. Those wishing to become members to receive the members-only discount can do so by logging on to www.riptide08.com. Those that are interested in the bus trip are asked to email me @ mattymags811@gmail.com so details can be discussed. As of right now, I plan on receiving payment via paypal, but other arrangements can be made if necessary. We hope to be announcing a ticketing option for those interested in the bus trip that are not season ticket holders in the very near future. We are simply awaiting a response from the Breakers. If you have any questions about the general atmosphere of the stadium, where to stand/set up the Dock, etc, then I'm the one to ask having seen many games there, both Soccerplus games and HS championships.
I can fill in info re: tickets. If you want to take the bus and don't have tickets already, you can get a ticket too for an extra $10. Is there tailgating, grilling, drinking, etc at New Britain? Parking fees, other stuff to know about?
