The former Brown and Clemson head coach has passed away. Little detail has been given around the circumstances of his passing. From Northern Ireland, Adair played collegiately at Lock Haven and won a nationaional championship in 1978 (DIII) and 1980 (DII) and was also an All-American. He was recruited by and played for Micheal Parker. Parker would later go on and be at the helm of UNCG for 26 years. After a stint at the University of South Carolina as an assistant coach he would move on to Brown University as the head coach for four years and was at Clemson University from 1995-2008. Adair guided the Tigers to a College Cup Final Four in 2005 and he amassed over 200 career victories. He also would have one other college stop, at Old Dominion University. Adair served at several youth clubs and with ODP. https://www.frontrowsoccer.com/2020...former-brown-clemson-coach-adair-passes-away/
RIP Trevor. Their 1998 Clemson team was one of the best teams in college soccer history to not win a championship along with 1997 Indiana and 2008 Wake Forest. Sad day for college soccer.
That 2000 team was pretty damn good, too. Oguchi Onyewu, Mark Lisi, Ian Fuller, Doug Warren, Ricky Lewis, Chase Hilgenbrinck and Kenny Cutler all played in MLS and Mike Potempa and Pablo Webster were drafted and Oskar Bringsved from that team went on to play in Sweden. How many college coaches can claim they coached multiple future European Champions League players? (Onyewu, Stalteri) RIP Trevor. A good guy who took some unfortunate hits.
