This sucks. Hopefully it's only the little toe and he won't be out for too long. We really need to think about bringing back Evans and/or Bardsley.
Hmm they said that Carrick might have broken his ankle if Im not mistaken, lets hope has back soon though, we need him to pocket Henry again.
And we were all questioning why Fergie extended his contract. Heck he might be the only defender fit to play every game this year.
I broke my big toe 2 years ago playing beach footy in outer banks, north carolina. lots of pain the first week (vikes= la la) but because of the nature of my profession, I didn't miss much time.
How bad was the break? Sounds a bit wierd. I couldn't even bend my toe during the first month and my foot swelled up like a balloon. When you hear it snap and then the pain filters through, that's surreal.
Hope Rio's absence is short. Still, I think only Defoe and Keane worry me of the strikers we'll face in the next few matches. Henry for all his wonder is routinely shackled by Silvestre. My biggest worry is the lack of leadership/composure between Brown and Silvestre. Hopefully Vidic is back soon, with Rio out Carrick's ability to distribute the ball and calm things down will be priceless to us. I'd prefer Vidic/Brown to Brown/Silvestre but I'm not sure we''ll have that choice to make.
yep same here. in regards to swelling. it swelled so much that they thought they had to take some skin from my butt ) ) so they could work on it. thankfully this didn't happen. The name of the particular bone that I broke escapes me now but the break was where the foot meets the toe. im a loan officer in my family's real estate business so it was nothing for me. sit down with people and rip them off. I kid i kid edit: talked to bird and the name of the bone sounds like sesame seed or something close
I assume that the bigger the toe the more pain the break causes. I might be completely wrong on that, but I learnt the value of my little toe once it was 'gone' and had me walking like John Merrick. lol.
I've broken toes multiple times, no matter what toe it is it hurts. Sometimes it heals faster than others, I don't know why. Hopefully this is one of those times where it doesn't take a long while. I guess if this was going to happen, now is the time, with the break coming up. Let's hope he's ready to go in a couple weeks for Arsenal.
we have to recall somebody from Antwerp and do it now. What f**ckin luck man. Vidic is apparently not going to link up with Serbia so I don't know what the status is on the wrist.
but on our site i read that he was wearing the cast and SAF asked Serbia personally to use him sparingly. has that changed since then?
Ferdinand scan shows no fracture Rio Ferdinand will for now remain in the England squad for the opening Euro 2008 qualifiers after scans on a toe injury showed no signs of a fracture. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/5289630.stm
