Just got my e-mail from Soccer America and in the post game wrap up it said that Rimando is lost for the season with a torn ACL..

    Get well soon Nicky..

I feel pretty confident in having the best keeper in college last season manning the nets for United, but Nicky will be missed..

Please my friends, let's understand that Warren is being put in a difficult position right now and like earlier this season when everyone and their brother wanted to fire Hudson after our 0-3-4 start, we need to be patient with Doug..

    Good luck Doug..

It's just incredible. Nick was brilliant last night and then something like this has to happen. He must have one heck of a threshold for pain because he was hopping up and down and walked off on his own power for the most part. We'll miss you Nicky.

If everyone else does their job well, Warren will be fine.

Right as he approached Vermes' minutes record.

Warren can definitely handle it. I am convinced--based on his performance when he's gotten a chance to play, as well as how I hear he has done in practice--that we have two great keepers and won't miss a beat.

At the end of the year, I believe we'll view Rimando and Warren as interchangeable like Friedel and Keller (although obviously not that good). And I don't mean that as any knock on Nick, who I consider to be outstanding.

That's a real shame. Recover soon, Nick, and rest up. We'll see you and Milton next season.

Rimando's always been one of my favorite MLS goalkeepers.

Bad break. Really stupid Field Turf.

Get well Nick. Look forward to seeing you next year.

Couldn't have come at a better time for us Crew fans, as we need all the extra help we can get, but too bad it had to happen to anybody. Get well soon.

“The one single player on our club that I would call irreplaceable is now lost for the season’s climax,” said United Head Coach Ray Hudson. “It’s a viciously cruel way to end another superlative season by Nicky, but this presents a real opportunity for Doug to confirm what a very good all-around keeper he’s proven to be.”

Guess what. Doug Warren is still better than Jon Busch.

The thing to watch is how Warren responds if he gives up a goal. That's an unknown.

The thing for Nick to watch is his weight. It's a huge adjustment to not be able to burn calories, and that boy is already um, well rounded.

Speedy recovery Nick, we'll look for you in the nets opening day.

Rest assured that DC will not miss a beat with Doug Warren in goal. I watched him play for many years and he is excellent. He doesn't make dumb mistakes and has a knack for making huge saves at critical times in the game. I like Nick as well, but believe that it was just a matter of time before Warren won the job. Who will be the new backup?

I hope to see Nick and Milton smoking cigars on the bench at halftime.
