Don't post here often but saw this up on the AP and thought it was an important, and sad, development. Midfielder Hege Riise tears knee ligaments and is out 4-7 months. http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=ap-riiseinjury&prov=ap&type=lgns This is sad news for the WWC as she is probably out of the tournament, the article says she could play, but I cannot imagine her being in the best shape when the tourny rolls around even if she did make it back. Too bad, best speed in her recovery.
WUSA press release Match reports indicate that no one touched her. She just went to turn along the touchline and dropped. I wish Hege well, but you just know that Norway will find some player to give the US fits come September.
