    Nah.

It just wasn't worth wasting space on here and boring others with my comment to you directly that typo smack is oh, so good. Thanks for including everyone in this worthless tit-for-tat.

I understand your frustration as your next funny post will be your first.

You really should proof read your own posts when using spelling smack Noah.

If you will excuse me now, I am going to read my copy of "Off Mice and Men."

This is an example of amusing spelling smack, George. Learn from it.

(is ITN arguing for nuance and actually analyzing an entire paragraph instead of a 3-word soundbite? Well I'll be damned.)

In case nobody has hit this, I'm assuming it's premature ejaculation.

But that's not what you said--you said that the quote is saying slavery "wasn't so bad". I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb to say that if Rick Santorum (or I) morally equates something to abortion (or basically says it's almost as bad as abortion, if not quite) then that doesn't mean we think it's "not that bad".

What exactly does "that" refer to?

Slavery is bad, but abortion is worse = slavery is not that bad = what the heck, let's put this lower down on the scale of bad things in an effort to make a statement.

As far as I'm concerned, slavery is much much much worse than abortion.

Actually, make that much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much worse.

    Indeed.

Some things should really go without saying, though, don't you think? But with people like Santorum around, sadly, they don't.

I don't. There's a HUGE difference between saying "X isn't all that bad" and saying "Y is just as bad as X"; especially when you have a long track record of saying Y is a very, very bad thing.

    Let's talk absolutes then.

What do you personally think is worse, abortion or slavery?

Translation of Lasort's post: Servitude is worse than murder!

No! Both are evils. Both should be illegal, and murder is indeed far worse than servitude.

Abortion is not murder, the bible says so.

I honestly don't know. I believe that abortion, except when the woman's life is at risk, is murder; yet slavery is the murder of the human spirit. I'd probably rather die than live as a slave, but a lot of people wouldn't feel the same way, and slaves had the chance to escape.

Hmmm....care to apply this logic to Iraq?

"Yeah, american soldiers killing journalists is bad...but its not like we're chopping their heads off, so quit complaining!"

(not saying you feel this way, but that's often an administation apologist debate tactic)

Anyway, maybe somebody would look to see how many africans died en route to america or shortly after arrival (north and south) - and compare to the # of abortions since RvW.
