I get free tickets to Renegades Hockey games through bottoms up. Last time a group went they got the owner's box. The owner of the team and Bottoms up are like tight or something. So if the Richmond contingent would like to do our very own happy hour/get together kinda thing, let me know and I'll pick a date that would suit everyone best. word Pedro
Let me know the date, I'm always going to games. They started something this past Wed. where they do $2 beers, $1 hot dogs, and $1 sodas. Doing it again this coming Wed. and the other 3 Wed. games the rest of the season if anyone is interested. They've got a fun team at the moment that's playing better hockey than the group they started out the season with. Watch out for a guy named Goody when he comes on the ice.
Page and I are in. The more advance notice the better so we can arrange a sitter. Hey Brian, let Doug know if you see him.
Sounds good everyone. Games are usually on Friday and Saturday and the Wednesday night games are something that are farely rare. The cheap beers and what not are an attempt by the Coliseum to get folks in to spend money on a night folks normally don't show up. Team is just about at the halfway point of the season so we've got about 15 home games left on the schedule. I've been to 10 of 14 home games this year and can say it's a much better time than sitting on your couch watching TV The team website is here so check the schedule and see what folks are interested in. I'm in too and when I see Doug, I'll definitely let him know.
Ok talked to my boss at Bottoms Up today. He's gonna talk to the owner of the team about getting us the owner's box for a wednesday night game. I guess it'll be his favor for me booking all the bands and whatnot. The owner's box seats 17 and comes with a free assortment of beer and soda in our own fridge, along with some tv's and crap. I'll post back when I hear something
The boxes in Richmond are very nice. Can't complain when you have a private bathroom, you're own bar, and a plasma tv to pass the night away. I've sat in the one my company has a few times myself. Awesome work Pedro!
You Rule Pedro. Thanks for putting this together, if we get the owner's box I'll buy you a beer at the game. If not I'll buy you a beer at the first tailgate.
at full price. I'm still waiting to hear back from my boss about the game. He says he'll be calling Allan (the team owner) about the tickets today at some point. word
I'll be at the games Wednesday ($2 beers), Friday, and Saturday this week if anyone else is planning on or wants to go. Starts at 7:35 and cheap seats are $13. Team is on an 8 game unbeaten streak coming into a 5 game home stand over the next two weeks. Currently in 2nd place and closing in on 1st.
Update: Ok so according to Alan the team owner, it's looking like we can have the owner's box Wednesday February 6th, about 8 days from now. My boss talked to him a couple days ago about it, he's gonna talk to him today to double check and confirm everything. Because they share the box sometimes with another group, we can get up to 10 tickets. here's a head count, if I missed someone, let me know. I got 9 on here Pedro Liz Steve aka Fighting Amish "maybe" Brian Doug Richard Paige Chris Pittman Chris Sebacore
I'll request off when I go into work tomorrow. What will all of this cost? Is it just beer/food or what?
From Pedro's post above. Added bonus is if/when we run out of beer in the suite, we get $2 beers from the stands up to the start of 3rd period.
tickets are free, soda is free, beer is free, don't know about hot dogs, but that would be sweet if those were free. I haven't heard too many replies, richard? chris? chris? doug? brian?
Sweet, I've requested off...free beer is amazing, but the possibility of free hot dogs is what's keeping me going right now. See you guys next Wednesday!
I'm absolutely in! I know in my company's box they have food and it includes hot dogs but not sure what Allan Harvie has in his.
