Does anybody feel the way I do? If United makes the playoffs, should the black and red call up a few players from Richmond? Players like Josh Henderson, David Hayes, Mike Burke and Kevin Jeffrey would come in real handy as subs for the black and red, especially as scoring threats. Any thoughts?

Richmond has helped out DC United by giving Bryan Namoff consistent playing time. He looked incredibly sharp last night and frustrated the hell out of Mamadou and Ramos. Not bad for a guy who isn't really a defender.

I talked to Namoff at Fado, and it sounds like he is playing again... TODAY!

I checked the Kickers website, and the second leg of their playoff with Charleston is at 6:00 tonight.

    Ahh, youth.

Namoff looked good. I was surprised to see him after he played for Richmond. Mamadou obviously has a plan to attack the "new guy." It didn't work.

    Ha ha ha ha ha.

Brian subbed in around the 80th minute to help preserve the 2 goal margin needed by Richmond to advance. The Kickers are in the quarterfinals, on Thursday playing the home leg of the 2 game set vs Rochester.

[Tim Curry voice] BAAAAAAD timing! :D [/Tim Curry voice]

I told Namoff that Eveready should be his sponsor -- you know, the bunny with the drums that keeps going, and going, and going, ..........

He said that he really appreciated the fans' support, and he was delighted that a gaggle of DC fans came to the Richmond game to salute him.

Good to see that some other DC fans made it to Richmond. Is anyone here planning on seeing the Thursday game v Rochester?

IN his post-game comments, Ray Hudson said he'd be down here rooting on Namoff. I didn't see him. Was there a Ray sighting at UofR or was he too tired from kicking Punky?

More on topic: I think Namoff wears the Red and Black on Thursday. He's been a late sub down here in Richmond lately (probably because he's traveling so much) and the Kickers won't miss him as much as DC would. Although with Reyes returning, maybe Bryan would suit up for Richmond. Anyone else have idle speculation?

I was told that in his post-game interview, Namoff said if he gets the call, he's in DC on Thursday. It seemed that to the extent the decision was in his hands, he'd opt for United. Guess he still wants a shot to impress.

    Y'all come down

It would be my personal pleasure to invite all Screaming Eagle faithful down to Sportsbackers Stauduim (near the Diamond) to see the match on Thursday.

    It'll be a helluva show.

Just please don't take Hendo, KJ or Burkie until AFTER we have the title.

    Thanks.

Tell Talon to c'mon down too! I need to wrestle somebody.

Kickeroo thanks for the invite, but unfortunately we have a conflict for this Thursday. It happens to be DC United's final regular season match against the Burn. Must win, need players, need fans, and all that... :)
