    Agreed.

Can't argue with his pedigree as a player or his experience as a coach.

If they've changed the U23, U20 and U18 head coaches, I wonder if a change with the 17s is next.

Not gonna lie. Your revelation is much more more of a statement about you than him.

Wasn't he just named Technical Advisor for the northeast or something like that?
Will he do both since U-18 isn't really a full time job?

My apologies if this has been mentioned on here before but from the bottom of the Williams press release:

Lepore is leading the current U-15 camp.

I am concerned that he may have our youngsters doing yoga, smoking pot, and wearing wedding dresses.

Must be another one of those part-time coaching jobs, which is alright since the U-18s, sorta like the U-23s are kind of the lesser important bits of the youth ranks.

I gotta say, while I might not be as smitten with Klinsmann as some of the guys here are(or were), he does have an eye for picking good subordinate coaches. Now, if he can only figure out his assistants...

I'm hoping this means that the u-18 team will be more active than in the past. I think there are some good '94s and '95s worth keeping an eye on that may not get much of a shot with the current u-20 team.

Why in the world would we want ABMOD anywhere near our youth players? To spread the secrets of his tremendous skill?

It boggles my mind that people make comments like this when it's been proven over and over and over again (in every damn sport) that talent level as a player isn't an accurate reflection of a person's ability to coach/manage.

Oh I know. I didn't start following the USNT until after 98 and not full time until 02

No, to teach them how to win.

    As a player he won:

*Two US Youth Soccer national championships
    *Two NCAA national championships
*One USISL national title in the year before MLS
    *Two US Open Cup titles
    *Three MLS Cup titles
    *Two MLS Supporters’ Shields
    *One CONCACAF Champions’ Cup title
    *One CONCACAF Gold Cup championship
*One FIFA Confederations’ Cup bronze medal

Say what you will, but the dude was a model pro and a winner. Consummate leader through example and absolutely maxed out his skill and athletic ability.

Didn't he also win the 1998 InterAmerican Cup? (I mean, if we are counting).

Is there a full list of the current USSDA Technical Directors around? It definitely makes sense for them to run the YNTs, as well.

So what was the story of Williams getting fired so suddenly from New York Red Bulls? Breach of team rules or something? I never knew what happened.

    No comment from both parties.

Ives and others have hinted there are no comments because there might be a court case pending.

Thanks. So there's no public disclosure of it. I assume US Soccer knows. I hope.
