We should remember that unlike us folks in this thread, the coach is not obsessing specifically over Richards and whether he should be replaced. He’s considering the team as a whole. And Richards was far from the problem in the first half for Bayern, particularly considering he’s an emergency leftback replacement already.

Giving the ball away, losing possession on the flank, I get that he’s being played out of position but he started out okay only to finish the half pretty bad. I’d give him a 6/10 for the first half.

Let’s see how he finishes off the game.

Richards has flipped sides BTW. He's on the right now. Should be much more stable of a performance from him now.

He lost the ball in harmless situations. He was solid defensively. He never created a bad situation. Unlike a litany of Bayern players at fault for allowing chances.

Red card for some Munich player I’ve never heard of.

They really miss Kimmich. Let’s go RBS score some goals!

Roca picks up a red while Chris drops to the ground with apparent injury

Sane seems to be a useful sub.

Neueur with an amazing double save.

Richards with a solid 1-1 stop.

Just chested it down to an opponent and somehow RBS don’t score.

Think Neuer was bored and played Chris the worst pass I've seen in a very long time haha. Chris botched it and Salzburg was in on goal. Neuer then came through with a double save.

Richards needs to go somewhere he can play as a central defender. He’s been truly awful today at fullback.

If that holds, Richards would have kept him on, but I think he's off.

He’s the one who kept him onside.

It wasn’t his man at all. They weren’t playing an off sides trap either.

If it takes longer than two minutes for VAR the ruling the field should stand.

Exactly the kind of mistake you'd expect from a young player, somewhat out of position with a back-line he's not super familiar with. Tricky, broken play that Richards looked confused about and just stood there, keeping RB onside. He takes one step forward and all is well. He had no possibility to get to the striker. Not a glaring horrible error, but he did mess up.
