It didn’t stop him to give a head assist for Pulisic’s goal. He would play next game because this one is just too short time frame. Not because his “injury”.
The you REALLY should see a physician! Or the Guinness Book of Records folks... or both. Maybe both..!
Why the quotes? It's an injury. I never said anything about it keeping him from playing. It's still an injury sustained while playing soccer.

He chose Augsburg because he thought it gave him the chance to start/play regularly. I guess we will see if he is considered a starter or regular sub soon. Today’s benching may or may not be related to the broken nose.
Augsburg is in a relegation battle and they won their last game 2-0 against a tough Union side. I am not surprised the coach went with the same dual striker combo. But he is in now. Lets hope for the best.
He looked pretty sharp with some quick passes and nice hold up play. No service to speak of so not scoring is understandable.
This was always the constant danger going to a relegation-threatened side in the 2nd half of their season.
Whats worse is that he made several very good runs that could have led to chances if the pass was on target. A couple of said passes were not very difficult to make... alas... none of them found the mark.
I like aspects of Pepi’s current situation, competing for PT against seasoned vets, but on a team that invested a lot of $ in him. I infer from that he will be developed by the club. The biggest downside I see is that the Augsburg midfield seems overmatched (at least the 3 times I have seen them), which means that service will be hard to come by. OTOH Pepi looks good dropping deep to get touches.
I think Augsburg stays up and Hertha Berlin goes down. Augsburg better start getting some points or they are going down. Home games against Freiburg and Dortmund and then an away trip to Armenia Bielefield could mean 4-5 points and the start of the great escape.
That and I think more that the coach is happy with the chemistry between the two center forwards. It’s a bit frustrating though....because he needs to score to get more time. And he needs more time to score. That said, if this wasn’t a WC year and weren’t desperate for a goal scorer.... letting an 18 year old spend his first 6 months acclimating to a new country and new language wouldn’t be the end of the world for him either.
Yeah, this is not a big deal IMO. He will get substitute minutes regularly, I expect. They see him in practice. He will learn and grow. The WC is 9+ months away.
