We already look light years better under Gareca. Best we have looked since Pizzi. No fear from this team and went up 1-0 early, France just tied but this is giving me hope we make the WC and are fun to watch in the Copa! I have…hope? For the first time in a while.

La roja look like a team that can hurt other teams at any moment. I also see that they aren’t relying on Alexis as a funnel for every attack. The midfield shows for every ball and tries to pass it around with intent to hurt. I do think that the team are currently weak on the air, which is something that perhaps can be worked on. Chile has a chance to qualify if this team solidifies its functionality.

Totally agree with you and chances to qualify just went up. It is noticeable how a good coach makes a difference. The federation wasted so much time and money in the previous bad coaches.

I agree with all the comments. I'm pretty happy with the team and players. We finally look like we can create on the attacking end.

it seems to appear that Gareca will not be using Vidal and Medel in future classification matches

No need to bring these two strong personalities to the squad. I don’t think these two are irreplaceable at this point in time. If he does call them in the future it should be as replacements, but no longer as part of the main squad.

Another strong performance! Put away a dismal Paraguay team, but good teams stomp bad teams. Peru couldn't score on this Paraguay side a few days ago. Looking forward to the Copa!

What a lame ass game to watch. Good merit to Peru for challenging all balls. Hopefully things improve from here.

Let’s see how the team plays vs argentina. A good game is needed more than a result imo. Both would be most welcomed though.

I do t think I can remember many games where Chile had 0 shots on goals for half the game. Will the team have any by games end? I doubt they can hold the 0 playing like this.

Chile doesn’t play well, but is competent at defense. A draw vs Argentina would be great, but the attack must improve vs Bolivia next week.

The subs have improved our attacking play slightly. I think this has been an acceptable game for our team if you put things into perspective. I like the team much better without Alexis… Vargas out next? He’s not bad, its just that we need fresh faces.

The game was lost, but it was by no means to be a 3-0. In any case, Gareca must start showing results from the upcoming game and on. I know the time is short but he was hired for this. I liked Palacios, Diaz, Catalan, and to a lesser extent Isla. I disliked Marcelino, and to a lesser extent Arias. I think Brereton should be given a chance to start in one of the upcoming games. Marcelino needs to not be called anymore.

Gareca talks too much and plays with names. If he is going to stay as Coach he should learn from Argentina how they play. It is all about movement on the pitch and not about names. Gareca will loose against Bolivia too.

Surprise result on paper today, not a surprise the way it is being played. Good win by Bolivia so far. Chile has nothing to offer other than long balls and prayer. Chile has to be the worst team in conmebol today.

Just like I said, lose against Bolivia. What is the point keeping Gareca, he will keep loosing game and the Federation loosing money. The two teams that Gareca coached are the two teams sitting in last place. Peru and Chile. Why did we hire a losing coach?

I’d say the purge should start from the very top with Milad, then work itself down ending with the players. I’d love to see a Chilean coach who knows the national league (our team will come from there).
