It's a 3-club race for #4: Chelski, Gooners & United. Although the Spuds may still fall enough to turn it into a 4-club race. At this point what is vital is how the games away against top competition are lining up. So the best so far have been Pool, City & Spuds. This is how it goes with games away for the next three: - Chelsea: Lost 3-1 to Spuds, still got City & Pool to play. - Arsenal: Lost 5-1 to Pool, still got City & Spuds to play. - United: Lost 3-1 to Pool, 3-1 to City, beat Spuds 0-1. So on paper at least United goes into the rest of the season with a big advantage: they don't have to play any of the Top 3 away.
The concern remains next season as much as this season, especially if Arse buy a couple defenders and Chelsea lose Hazard. Either way, they may be top 4 and may not be, but it's not going to be easy... especially when the EL starts back up and they are playing Thurs - Sun and likely progressing in that comp, whereas Spurs and United might both be out of all other comps and just focusing on week to week in the league. We'll see, it's going to be a great race for the top 4 this season.
2 or 3 is a honeymoon. 6 or 7 (I forget which) is a trend. They are a good team, they just needed new management. I predict they pip Spurs for third when all is said and done.
They've only played one good team, and it took a once-a-season performance from De Gea to win it. Their February-March stretch is where their season's fate will be decided: 2/12: v. PSG 2/16: FA Cup 5th Round (if they beat Arsenal this weekend) 2/24: v. Liverpool 2/27: at Palace 3/2: v. Southampton 3/6: at PSG 3/9: at Arsenal 3/16: v. City or FA Cup Quarterfinal From there to the end of the season, it's pretty easy except for one match against Chelsea. United sacked Mourinho when they did in part (I think) because of the relative ease of their upcoming fixtures. Wins there get the fans behind the new manager, the players get some confidence, etc. I'm really curious to see how they handle the stretch above, because I don't think it will be successful, and I'm interested in what the reaction will be.
United doesn't have the playmakers in the midfield to beat elite teams - but there are only 2 elite sides in the Prem this year. They should finish 3rd on talent.
All i found online is that they call him Pipita because his dad was called Pipa as he had a large nose.
They've always used both Pipa and Pipita for him. See: https://www.lanacion.com.ar/2182844-pipa-higuain-hablo-su-salida-juventus-basicamente Pipa Higuaín habló de su salida de Juventus: "Básicamente me echaron, todo el mundo lo dice" Pipa Higuain talked about leaving Juventus: "They basically kicked me out, everybody says so."

Even the Chelsea fans are realizing this is a lousy turn by Dortmund: they're keeping him in case of injuries, but he's going to arrive to their summer camp with 200 league minutes played in 2019 & under 700 for the whole season. This is why I think for him an exception is granted and should do the full pre-season with Chelsea instead of being called for the GC.
If he wants more minutes he has to find a way to make an impact in the limited time he sees off the bench. Dortmund will play him if he does - they’re in a fight for a title. He hasn’t produced enough end product and thus he’s on the bench getting spot mins and the occasional start. I’m very conflicted on the GC thing and can’t decide if he should play or not. It would be devastating to pick up an injury there...
He SHOULD commit to full pre-season training with Chelsea and earn himself a spot on Sarri's roster. The GC is meaningless, and there will be many more GCs to come. Which is more important for HIM? Establish himself and earn a starting spot with Chelsea, or sit on the bench all season long? The answer is EASY!
This will be a slow second half season at BvB for Pulisic. Hoping Sargent and Adams get more minutes at their clubs.
I'd rather see him at the Gold Cup. If he's legit worth $73 million he should be able to prove his worth without being there for every second of preseason. Similarly, if he flops at Chelsea I don't think it will be because he missed a few meaningless games on a brand extension summer tour.
I know its been posted over and again but I can't find it anywhere. I read a judge ruled that the PA Classics Academy, had no right trying to pursue a percentage of Christian Pulisic's transfer of $73 million fee to Chelsea. Anyone know if they are they still going to try and pursue it though UEFA or FIFA?
