Chelsea twitter seems to be pimping CP a little too much for him to be riding the pine in this one.

I wonder if they are still showing him as a risk for injury and T T doesn't want to give him too many minute?

That's one way to treat the player who has been making a habit out of terrorizing the Real Madrid backline in his career.

Their messaging is off then, since it has been Tuchel telling the media that Pulisic is fine and that he just needs to start believing he is fine.

Tuchel got mad cp didn’t hug him after his goal.
    What a moron lol.

Pulisic is in the best form since last summer, and you don’t start him. I only want Chelsea to advance if cp comes on and scored but if not, I’d be ok if Madrid absolutely trounce them now.

TT said last weekend he was on the bench because he was at risk of injury. I thought that was weird. The speculation was he failed a biometric test of some sorts.

He 100% doesn’t like Pulisic. There’s too much evidence now. He played him at wing back at both bvb and Chelsea. He never started him until cp showed way more than Werner and kai recently.

he then scored and Werner blew an easy chance... yet timo starts. Tuchel out imo.

I have no problem now pulling for RM to come in a score a few before halftime. Just pissed about this. Talk about overthinking things. You have Pulisic in his best form in some time and then you have Havertz scoring his first two goals since Moses wore short pants. CP must be ticked.

Definitely surprising, you do have to wonder if he is not 100%.

werner and havertz winning positions today by looking good against fulham is just awful. theres not a lot else to be said about it. azi and kante were also at ''heightened risk of injury" or whatever and both are starting.

That's my thinking unless TT is going to have them start in low block and defend deep. Then bring on CP in the second half when RM is pressing.

Alllllll this!!! I've stated many times I'm a CP fan - don't give a toss about Chelsea. If CP can come off the bench and shine, I'm all for it. Otherwise, if Madrid move on to the Final, I'm gonna loooooove the shadenfreude of TT leaving CP on the bench and thereby costing Chelsea the Final.

Could also be that plan A is defend defend defend. Save Pulisic for needing a goal or countering a desperate Madrid.

That seems like over thinking things a bit but could be what Tuchel is thinking given Pulisic hasn't been a 90 minute player too often recently.

Tuchel is over thinking it. He's going to play for a 0-0 draw and hope Pulisic can rescue them if they are down a goal late.

Silver lining. Chelsea lose with Pulisic not starting, we win. Chelsea wins and Pulisic has a chance to play for the CL in a few weeks, we win.

explain to the 22yo guy who just put you in this position to potentially advance that hes more of a tactical guy instead of the first attacker on the team sheet and see how sustainable the relationship is. pulisic is a pro, but you cannot tell me this sort of thing doesnt really strain his relationship with tuchel.

It's what he does. Tinkering Tuchel. He cannot help himself. It may work, but it is a pretty risky move.
