Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully there won't be games every 3 days in the future too.

Puli has been missing about one-third of the season with injuries for the last three years. While that is high, it's not that unusual. Wingers are, perhaps, the most fragile of all players.

Speed requires a certain lightness of being, so to speak.

Just on that specific point, Alonso is sooo one-footed he can't pass to ANYONE that's in front of him on the left wing. He constantly cuts back in and passes it to someone inside of him in midfield. He also takes an absolute age to even do that.

If Chelsea can bring in a capable left back to run with Pulisic, that left side will be a nightmare to defend.

Grealish is simultaneously up for young player of the year, comeback player of the year, and best hair.*

As I cope with the imminent death of my beloved college football, I think I’m grateful for Pulisic making a big impact in the EPL. Need some sports fun this fall outside of NFL, and I suspect that’ll come in the form of following the horse race in England as well as Champions League - and Pulisic makes both of those 5X more interesting

    2-0

It's a miracle how Chelsea was able to finish 4th in the EPL.

It was a failure of the competition, really.

Hope they shore up the backline next season.

They shipped 7 goals and counting in a 2-game series, for which they were w/out their best attacker.

So naturally they should want to spend close to a hundred million on another attacker, with two significant transfers already coming their way.

They would not even be in the CL KO stages if it wasn't for that double red against Ajax.

7-1 is a massacre. With no improvement in their back line they're going nowhere.

    Not really.

Can I just mention that 7-1 was the scoreline Bayern got against sperz last season in ONE game.

It's also worth mentioning that our starting front line had a starting age of about 20 IIRC, (maybe 21?... not sure).

The situation was getting so dire I'd been polishing my boots in case I got a call :D

    ???

Do you know how often the individual top 4 positions, (so 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, etc.), have been decided by GD and not points in the past decade?

    You might want to check.

    So that's 4 comparisons times 10 years = 40 to compare

    Start here and go backwards...

    I don't blame you :)

I think Chelsea finished 4th last lots to do with Spuds and Gunners completely blew up their seasons, and Leicester unable to hold onto their position in the home stretch.

This Chelsea team has way to many areas that need to be fixed/upgraded (GK, FB, CB, CM/DM). Though their attack should be top 5 if not top 3 in the EPL next season.
