Didn't Mou want Giroud? I get why Chelsea wouldn't sell him to them, but I still feel bad for the guy since he supposedly wanted to stay in london for his kids. Better than rotting on the bench behind Bats. Well, as bad as one can feel for an extremely rich and good looking professional athlete.
We never stray off topic here ... ... but if we did, I'd say it's hard to tell (if Neymar's got a chubby chin) with the beard he's sporting.
We should have a Yanks Abroad Clinic section to send the hundreds of posts absolutely related to nothing that happen while our YAs are injured, which is over 50% of the time anyway.
WTF? How you got all that out of my post speaks to some sense of inferiority or something totally unrelated to my comment. I am not rating leagues, The football can be different without having a value attached to it. The Bundesliga has more goals. Haaland plays on a team that can score goals for fun. They can often make even lesser players look pretty good. Obviously my post was a poor effort. I was trying to bring the OT conversation back to CFC and Puli, and was using the Batman as an example. Since he is a current CFC player who played at BVB, and who I thought looked decent enough there but is total trash at CFC. I went on to qualify that to say I thought he would indeed turn out to be pretty good. Either way, I doubt Haaland finds himself in a CFC kit anytime soon.
I believe you are referring to PSG here, not the French national team. 2 World Cups since 98 isn't that bad.
In press conference, Lampard said CP is not fit, no exact date of return and it’s a difficult injury. FWIW. https://www.football.london/chelsea...helsea-press-conference-live-lampard-17788150
The fact that Lampard has referenced it as a difficult injury multiple times and hasn't been very optimistic in his comments does not bode well. Also, there hasn't been really any clues about improvement. Not a good sign IMO.
It is a terrible sign. It just seems like his body can't hold up to the stress of the game. Just too many injuries over the last two seasons. Next man up... I view him as a wild card right now for Chelsea and the USMNT. Let the Ferrari play in the few periods he is healthy but be prepared for his absence because he is going to be back in the shop.
Some of the posters here are so negative, I swear. I hope CP (and you in your every day lives) are more optimistic and resilient. The conspiracy theories, the injury woes...
The conspiracy theories are mostly* in jest, but the injury woes are very real. Our national team has no depth to speak of, and we have very few players who one could even call promising, let alone of proven quality. Pulisic - frequently injured McKennie - frequently injured Adams - lengthy injury (9/10 months), came back, injured again (less severely) Weah - tore his hamstring, out half the season; came back, tore the other one (season over) Steffen - promising start, but now with a chronic(?) knee issue If we were a soccer power, we'd just plug in the next guy, but we're not. We're thin at almost every position and - especially recently - fragile. ++++++++++++ * ... but it can be difficult to tell which ones.
21 and already has a second page in his Transfermarkt injury history! https://www.transfermarkt.us/christian-pulisic/verletzungen/spieler/315779
T minus 3 days before they start using the term "sports hernia", and he's off to a specialist for season ending surgery. He'll be back in August. Maybe.
