If data size change it to jpeg or png, if dimensions either cut out the most important part and paste it to a new image, or just split it in half if that's not practical.

Erm.... Not too sure. There are various photo-imaging packages that you can use to reduce the photo size. If you bought a digital camera there should be some free software you can use to edit the image I guess. On mine you can load it up and select edit and then choose what size you want it to be... Your best bet would be to download irfanview, simply because its free and has no limitations. http://www.download.com/3001-2192_4-10491149.html - Load up your photo via 'open'; - Then click Ctrl+R - You should get a menu with various options - You can now edit it with the set-new size option (just simply select some new figures) - Or.... as is the easiest option. Just click one of the options on the left thats says '640 x 480' or '800 x 600' and it should reduce the size to a reasonable level. - Resave it, but make sure you save it as a jpeg by selecting the little box underneath that says 'save as type' and then choose 'jpg - jpeg image' This should reduce the size somewhat. The problem with certain photos you take, they ocassionaly get saved as bmp files which are much larger. You could skip the whole mess above by simply loading up the file in 'paint' and again saving it as a jpg file, like what I said above. This could solve the problem. Just have a little mess about and see what you can do. I would try resaving them as jpegs in paint frst and if that doesn't work then try and download the software to resize them.
Torps, the MS Office Picture Manager allows you to downsize your pics, in any format. I use Picasa 2 http://picasa.google.com/ to organize/touchup and Adobe Photoshop 7 for more intricate functions (too cheap to spring for the later versions, at least until my Ukie neighbor figures out the crack ), but a good freebie comes with MS Office. Also the Nero demo comes with a good photo editor/resizer. I use Nero 7, but if you can find a copy of Nero 6, yasik19 or myself can help you with the rest (I can only say so much as a mod...hey, it might not be right, but its all good )
