Perugia won 2-0 as Rahman scored in the 29th minute. I think this is like his 2nd or 3rd goal of the season, which for a defender is very good. It seems he is the same old Rahman, but this time he has a niche for scoring...

Looks like it has been a good week for the Asians in Europe.

Just saw the goal, it was an awesome volley from about 12 meters into the roof of the net.

It was Rahman's second goal of the season. Considering that he has started only 4 games that is not too bad for a defender. Go Rezaie.

    Iranian-Striker jon,

Iran is the team you can not predict their result in any occasion. i propose a whole subject to discuss this. at times, they seem like kings of the world while next game they can not win even against an unknown Iranian team. Iranian talents are everywhere in the Europe and some of the gulf countries which gives their NT a flavor of everywhere blended in the Iranian beauty.

Iran, when given the right attention and the right couch in the right time, they can be a world power house. They only need to get over emotions and fans need to get over Saudi Arabia and make the sky their limit. Saudi Arabia is nowhere and i admit. Making us your rivals will only harm you guys. you look at us this way but the funny thing is we don't look at Iran that way. not considering Iran weak but we always put in our mind that Japan and Korea is the one to beat which we failed in many times especially when it comes to Japan.

Iran can bypass Asia by far. it will happen. ;) soon inshallah

Yes, I agree with the unpredictability part. One day we are dominated by Qatar, the next day we beat South Korea. On and on... As SaudiBill says "its real tough to be a fan of Iranian Team..." :D

There is obviosly more we need than a good coach and a good timing. We need the funds and good structure in our Football, both of which dont seem to be comming to us...

Best example of Iran's unpredictability was shown October 2001 against Bahrain. After not losing one match in qualifying, we end up getting dominated by a less than average side.

I put that loss squarely on the shoulders of Coach Ciro and midfielder Karim Bagheri.
