Did anyone else see Tommy Smyth's comments about Claudio's injury on the ESPN live chat yesterday. He said that there have been "complications" and he hinted that he might not ever play again.
Does anybody else have news on this? It sure would be a shame. He was in the prime of his career, and he was a great role model for younger US stars.

Let's hope it's not as bad as Smyth made it out to be.

Complications are't unheard of and I doubt they'll be career ending. Docs have gotten a lot better about ACL injuries in the last few years.

Here's Smyth's exact quote in response to a question about Reyna's injury status:

Smyth: "Unfortunately the story about Claudio doesn't seem to be so good. It seems he has had some complications, but I don't know exactly what they are. It is a very troubling time. One can just hope that it is not the end of his career."

So actually, he knows no more than we do at this point.

Exactly. He's heard there may be a setback (which is common) and hopes it's nothing permanent. Same thing most of us feel. Claudio will return, more or less on time in all likelihood.
