An AP piece (from France, so assume it was said in an Arena conference) had Reyna unlikely to figure into the Gold Cup. But these quotes from Reyna seem to point otherwise... http://www.safc.com/news.asp?article=151935&lid=204 And Blackburn's move for Reyna now is supposedly seperated from any Dunn move out. http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/lancashire/rovers/sport/ROVERS1.html
If this happens I will be at the December matchup between Blackburn and Tottenham. If only Mathis and Boca would transfer now, I could make my vacation plans now.
again ? have they been in the same team before ? Glasgow Rangers ? or Wolfsburg ? Sunderland ? i have no idea what are you talking about...
Tugay was a Ranger (under Dick Advocaat) before he was a Rover. http://www.planetfootball.com/player.asp?s=0304&plid=3742&clid=&cpid=8&Title=Kerimoglou+Tugay
Not a chance for a couple of reasons. First, Duff and Reyna are two different type players, Duff much more of an attacking player. If Duff is fit, he's just better than Reyna at what he does, whereas Reyna is better at what HE does. Second, Duff plays on the left.
To paraphrase a popular bumper sticker - "Your lack of knowledge of a world class soccer side is not my problem." (insert that thing here that shows I'm joking - thanks) Reyna and Tugay were teammates on Rangers for a couple of years, and even though Tugay showed very well when Reyna was out (including scoring a key goal) Dickie A. went with Reyna when healthy - which lead, I think, Tugay's move to B'burn.
Reyna update - http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/...headline=-Reyna-sights-on-game-name_page.html safc.co has essentially the same info. Hoping for Paraguay (july 6) return. Will be in Gold Cup squad rather than S'land preseason. Still rumoured to be B'burn target in other articles, but I lost the link.

I can see one advantage to moving for Reyna before seeing if he is back, money. He should be at his lowest transfer value now. It would be a risk, but I think that rehab of ACL injuries has become rather predictable in recent years. In short, a bold move.
Wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that Mr. Souness is in Foxboro Saturday to watch Claudio. B-burn is in the States in advance of their Wednesday friendly with DCU and with the Duff move eminent, Grahame likely wants to see Claudio's form.
wagman with quotes from souness http://www.soccertimes.com/americans/2003/jul18.htm its official. blackburn are interested in reyna and souness is scouting his play in the gold cup. very cool.
Reyna or Tugay? Where would Reyna play? Right now, I don't think he's better than Tugay, who holds the midfield nicely for Blackburn. Can Reyna keep pace on the outside?
Re: Reyna or Tugay? This is what we heard when Rangers signed him, and it was true. But they found a place for Claudio. Blackburn will do the same. If he's not in the center of midfield, he will be paired with a speedster on the outside.
Where did Dunn play for Blackburn? Wasn't that some where in the middle? IIRC Dunn leaving was suppose to trigger Reyna's move.
