Haaland looks kind of frustrated, dropping deep and to the wings to touch the ball.

I don't get it. Why is Sancho inside the box and doesnt triy something.

very good first half for gio and for BVB ... just need to build on it the second half, keep winning those challenges - and get an assist for Haaland or Sancho.

He was smooth, and got the goal, but still feel like he could try to be more aggressive in the opponent half & sprint on the break to be hungry for even more goal contributions. The talent is heir apparent.

Close game, BM actually had more chances. A fine save from Burki saved BVB. Second half should be great.

He's been uncharacteristically distant. Passive when he should be aggressive & tunnel vision in the final 3rd. Plus hasn't checked to win the ball enough. Dreaming of a move still? I'm just speculating.

This hasn't exactly been a masterclass at home against BMG. BVB should be out-playing the opponent. Instead it's been a push. Just did better w/ their limited chance(s).

he has not been stellar ever since it was clear his transfer was not a foregone conclusion.

Probably should have passed that one to Haaland, though Erling made a weird run.

    But that is a penalty.

Hmmm. 50/50 call for me on the penalty. Doubt they'll give it.

Looks like Gio dove a bit (good for him). Don't think that's a penalty.

100% a penalty. Trailing leg hit him and he’s running full speed.

Edit: didn’t see your other post.

Gio should have had another. Great save off the line on the follow up

It was a penalty. The guy came through the back of Gio's foot. Delayed reaction from the pain or went down because that's the only way he was going to get the call he deserved. The contact slowed him up enough to allow the ball to spill,

Would have been nice if he had managed to finish that last chance. Really good opportunity there.
