He won't be going anywhere this season, and wouldn't we still have to match their valuation of him next year? They could easily just set a price higher than we can afford, and we still miss out on him. Unfortunately it looks like reyes is staying. Atletico don't even have that much money left to spend, to make a possible move worth it for arsenal. Maybe Real will come around with a decent offer next season.

A co-worker of mine keeps on repeating to me that such a deal is already established with AC Milan regarding Torres. Can someone confirm this for me? RE: Reyes, I would be surprised if this went through. Unless Wenger has someone in mind to buy right away with the $$$, I personally wouldn't do the deal.

Seemingly the only quote is from Reyes agent who says that Atletico are interested. This will be the same agent that was trying to engineer a move back to Spain.
