    1-1 at half.

Kamler for NE, Stoichkov for DC.

Violent match - chippy play from both sides. Several yellows.

    1-1 at the half.
Kamler got his 5th goal of the season off a beautiful long pass from Franchino. Histo got the equalizer from a lazer shot from the left flank. Very chippy match in heavy rain. revs came to play.

74th minute, still 1-1. Revs with a number of good chances in the 2nd half.

Eskandarian has come in for Stoichkov, and Noonan for JMM.

Game is still pretty chippy. Field is a bit of a mess as it was pouring earlier in the game.

76th: Revs try to attack down left flank. Out for a throw. Lose thow in but get the ball back in their defensive 3rd.

77th: Quaranta on for Ali Curtis.

Jason Moore in for Kamler. I realize Kamler's coming off an injury, but even on a reduced away roster, I'd think there would be better options available.

78th: Jason Moore on for Noonan. Pierce banged up battling for a header with Q.

79th: DC down the left flank again. Knocked out for a throw. Revs going into a bit of a defensive shell now, give DC possession.

80th: Harris on a breakaway, Kovalenko catches him from behind, Harris knocks him down about 25 yards out, giving up possession.

81st: Moore with a good cross into the box, too far ahead of the runs, though.

Noonan has been a defensive liability when he's played on the wing, so I think this was a way to try to preserve the tie.

84th: Jason Moore with a shot knocked wide by Prideux. Harris has been playing pretty well in the 2nd half(I didn't see much of the first).

85th: Heaps finds Ralston in the 6, but he is dispossed. Pierce with a great diagonal cross into the box, Noonan's header easily saved.

86th: Quintanilla in for Kovalenko. DC has a lot of speed on the field right now, with the three kids. Revs have to watch the counters.

87th: Noonan on the counter off a free kick gives Ralston the ball 10 yards out wide open, and he shanks the shot.

88th: Harris shoves down Petke 20 yards out. It was so obvious he deserved a card. :D

89th minute, Joseph with a well struck long shot from 25 yards out. Rimando gives up the rebound but there is noone there for it. DC counters long, but Llamosa heads it back to Brown.

2 minutes of injury time. Looks like we are headed to OT.

Etcheverry to Quaranta and Quintanilla down the left side. Heaps and Pierce cut it out very well.

    That's the end of regulation.

    91st:
Noonan heads one over a charging Rimando it dribbles to an empty net only to go off the post.
Seconds later he heads one off the crossbar.

94th: Eskandarian in alone on Brown but tries to cut on the wet turf and slips, letting Pierce hustle back to clear it.

    End to end action....

95th: Pierce with some more solid defense winning the ball on the right side. Moments later Etcheverry sends another good ball across the goal, but noone is home for DC.

    Switching sides...

One of the most nervewracking but entertaining 5 minute OTs ever. 2 great DC chances, Noonan's header off the post, another shot off the crossbar.

Holy CRAP, what an entertaining finish. Not the best played, but certainly fun.

It's all over. 1-1. Points split.

96: Noonan loses ball in midfield. A little later, Etch sets up Quaranta from 30 yards, shot goes wide. Etcheverry is playing better then I have seen him play in years.

97: DC with a great cross from Quintanilla, Brown punches the ball clear inches in front of Eskandarian. Great job by Brown.

99th: Quintanilla recieve a pass on the left with acres of space, but has a poor first touch. Cullen takes down Etch on the edge of the 18 on the left.

    Free kick comes to nothing.

100st: Moore comes in alone, but offside. Quick counter, Quaranta with a shot from 10 yards out, shanks it wide.

And that's your ball game. 1-1.

Revs D assumed the whistle was coming too early, and nearly paid dearly for it. Quaranta had Llamosa beaten enough for a chance but shanked it.

    1-1 draw, deserved result.

Agreed - OT's like this make me not mind the extra 10 minutes. Both teams with several chances.

JMM isn't getting it done and Wolde is ineffective. Sure glad that TnT will be available for next weeks match.

Jason Moore and Noonan were good off the bench. Revs were very unlucky to not come away with three points. Revs played with real spirit.

Llamosa and Pierce were nearly perfect tonite. Pierce - reckless, courageous, awesome
    Carlos - composed, sound, awesome
Heaps was a little shaky but the slick field fit his scrappy game perfectly. Franchino had a fine performance, assisting on Beaker's goal.
Joseph was once again the ballwinner and magnet in midfield that he was pre-injury. Cullen shut down Etch but had disappointing distribution (not the reason he was on the field though) Kamler showed once again what a left wing needs to do in our system. Be positionally sound, behind the ball on defense, finding space on offense. Slotted over to right side of box, and finished easily a difficult chance. Ralston was one beat off. Missed an easy chance, crossing and passing not up to his standard, but did a lot of work. Wolde looked better when Patty came on as JMM put in another average performance. JMM looked particularly out-of-sorts when we started the second half with quick direct balls (long-ball? shhh) from the back. Completely cut out of the attack. Patty and Ja were inspired subs.

    My match ratings
    9: Llamosa, Pierce
    8: Brown, Franchino, Kamler, Joseph
7: Heaps, JaMoore, Cullen, Ralston, Wolde, Noonan
    6: JMM

i don't remember what minute it was, but Noonan took a ball, turned, and headed to goal, and created an excellent scoring oppurtunity. Did anybody else notice that that turn looked very familiar?

I can't wait to see Wolde back on the bench. He was awful. Noonan has got to play more. Back line was great tonight. The Revs played with the spirit and tenacity that were missing in Colorado.

That overtime was the best 10 minutes on TV. Exciting.

Llamosa = Smartest player on the pitch.
Pierce = Toughest player on the pitch.
Franchino and Joseph just beat the living tar out of Olsen and Allegria, respectively. Allegria looked a-scared in the second half.
Stoitchkov used to be great. He's effectively degenerated into being part-time thug.
Heaps should have marked him better on his goal, too.
If it turns out that JMM signed a deal with the devil, it's time to re-negotiate. I hope it turns around for him. Soon, too. It wouldn't hurt Wolde to co-sign, too. Both are working too freaking hard.
Has anyone gone farther with less ability than Mike Petke? I'm serious.
Rimando should kiss the post's ass - if it had an ass. French, too.
Despite what was said by Feldman and Healey, this wasn't a pretty match. It was, however, a very physical one, and the conditions were ridiculous and weren't condusive to "jogo bonito." How many balls were blooted out of bounds after little or no pressure? And both teams, for most of the match, had a hard time stringing more than three passes in a row.
On the other hand, it was enterntaining.
One point is one point. It's good that the Revs came into the match upright and showed they weren't on life support - especially after STB'ing last week.

I hadn't looked forward to this game, but now I'm looking forward to next week.

I got a new sig out of this one, as my dislike for Stoitch tripled.

Any sightings of El Gallego yet?

I gotta admit that as a DC fan you guys thoroughly deserved the three points..

A tough match all the way through but you guys some pretty easy chances to finish but couldn't capitalize..

Had Twellman been there on the end of a few of those chances, you might have won 3-1 or 4-1 at least...

I will say though that Franchino is a complete punk.. I don't know if the cameras caught it or not but he headbutted Olsen as the half came to a close right in front of the assistant ref..

A classless move from a hard working player...
