So, you'd rather we signed a washed up Bulgarian or Bolivian, perhaps?

Based on what we've seen in this thread I wouldn't lean towards impressed...

Amazing---the guy isn't here yet and some dudes are throwing rocks at him already. Let me remind us all of the angst we all had at SN picking Noonan and passing on other "better prospects".

I trust SN's judgement. So far he's not made a mistep in his roster choices. If he's signed the guy he thinks the guy can contribute. Till proven otherwise I'm thinking we just improved the team.

And to the troll who started this thread---go back onto your cave.

I think he could work out as a role player for a bit, you definitely need somebody like that in the midfield - I just don't think you should have expectations of greatness. His years of winning Libertadores are waaaaaay behind him.

We don't have expectations of greatness, just competence. If Vasquez could have held the ball during the last 20 minutes of the KC match we would have won and be second in the league. We didn't and we're third. If he has the least bit of gas left in his tank and the skills that Murphy and Copabianco report then his ability will allow the others to play up to their abilities which, taken all in all, are considerable.

All we want is someone to nurture the ball in the middle. I think Stevie thinks that Gallego can do that.. If he can't, well we're still third with what we've got.
