I just caught a quick glimpse of a commercial for a Revs segment on a show called "Sports Pulse" I believe on CN8 (I've never even heard of the channel, but then again I've been in NY for school for a year). I just thought I'd mention this and see if anyone knew anything about it or would like to look into it more. I think it's on at 10:00...possibly 10:30 tonight.

It showed a few Revs highlights with a voice-over talking about how the Revs battled last year to reach MLS Cup and it said that they would look into whether the Revs had what it took to reach the Cup Final again this year. Looked like something worth tuning in to just to see some Revs info.

CN8 is the former ATT3. When Comcast assumed control of ATT Broadband, they shed the ATT moniker and used their own.

I believe that Lou Tilley, the CN8 sports guy, is actually based in Philadelphia, where, among other things, he broadcasts Charge WUSA games.

Just caught the end of the segment with Heaps and Brown. Heaps looking sharp in a blue blazer and Brown looking like a slacker with a baseball hat on backwards and untucked oxford shirt.

Brown mentioned that Nicol is being pursued by Aston Villa. Both say they hope he stays as coach. They showed some practice footage. I think I even saw Tony Frias make a nice move:)

Interviewer admitted he'd only been to one game but he wasn't bad. He asked about the difficulty of people being called up for national team duty in the middle of the season. Revs expect to miss lose Brown, Twellman, and Ralston for games this year. Also asked whether they were happy with 10-15 K attendance and Heaps said he hoped to average closer to 25K and hopes that warmer weather and good play will help. Interviewer said he was impressed with crowd enthusiasm for the 1 game he did go to.

Brown admitted to being the biggest practical joker on the team. Ah, those wacky Christian Scientists!
All in all some good exposure for the Revs. You can email www.cn8.tv and thank them for the coverage and maybe they'll do it again.

Caught the piece. I would not give Adin any public speaking engagements anytime soon. And clearly the guys are too busy to be stalking the internet or they would know that David O'Leary has been tapped as the next Villa coach.

Jay has proven himself to be an excellent representative of the Revs and is very well spoken!

The interviewer was a little all over the map in his questions but was generally supportive of soccer and asked generally knowledgeable questions.

i work in the building where this was taped. i don't work for CN8 but we share the building with them. the host knows nothing about soccer. there are 2 fans in the building, myself and my friend Rob who works for CN8. They had Rob, the fan, draft up the questions for Adin and Jay. I am glad that they did this piece, but let's not go overboard. Remember that Comcast is the same network that has dropped Fox Sports World in a few markets and will drop it here very soon. They own Outdoor Life, which my brother works for(wow, i am too involved in this whole thing) anyway, they see FSW as a competitor to OL, therefore, they drop FSW. its just a matter of time.

If that happens, I drop Comcast and go to the dish.
