"The team started badly (0-2) but is on a winning roll (3-0) after shutting out Chicago last weekend."

This is what you get when someone who doesn't follow the sport is called on to cover, in this case for FDA. Somebody get this man some updated stats...

Yeah, not to mention that later in the article, he mentions the last-minute goal to get a draw in Kansas City, so how could they be 3-0 if that's the case? Even if you didn't follow the team you'd know something wasn't right. A copy editor should have caught this, even if they know nothing of soccer.

Stick to writing about sailing Tony.

Somebody else also wrote the Revs are above .500 for the first time in ages. Does anyone remember the last time we were above .500 during the regular season?

Probably during FC's first season. I'd guess late July/early August.

    It has been a while.....

I was thinking the same thing, too. In fact, if someone had a poll going, I'd seriously consider selecting the "never been above .500" option.

Unless I'm mistaken, the last time we were above .500 was on August 30, 2000 when we beat the Metrostars to go 12-11-6. We lost the next two, then won the last game to have our best regular end-of-season record ever: 13-13-6.

The Center Circle game notes would still have been more impressive if they hadn't re-run the bits of commentary from the KC game.

Isn't it a coincidence how these "Probable Starting Lineups" always just happen to match the starting lineup of the previous game????

I think that was a classic screw-up - they re-sent the KC game notes instead of new ones (the Missou 4 aren't returning to their roots THIS week)!
