And to think there are still people upset that the Revs let him go. Amazing.

Wow, I guess the thread a few weeks ago, wondering just how much of an idiot Meterparel is have pushed the envelope even further. But is more than just another "Meterparel sucks" issue. It's about credibility with your audience. Talking about steak dinners (gee, I wonder if this was when the game was going on?) seems to be a recurring theme, since that's what he spent a good part of the Naperville game doing.

I didn't listen, since I saw the game on TV, but if these guys were leading people to believe they were there crosses the line of credibility in every other area.

The guys who do Champions League games are in the studio, and they start the broadcast there with pre-game discussion, so it's no secret. But they also never mention it either way during the game, since it's really a non-issue. The network isn't going to fly them over to do the game live, so a studio broadcast is the next best thing, or at least a reasonable alternative. But the audience doesn't care one way or the other.

Do we really need more reasons for Meterparel to be shown the door?
