I was at Revs practice one of the days Jerry White was there. He looked pretty good, young and a little green but not out of place. He's a little bit small, but solidly built and fast, a lot like Marshall Leonard to be honest. Afterward I was introduced to him by John Murphy and he seemed like a really nice kid.

I like Grabavoy despite the rap that he is too small. Lots of experisience with youth nationals. The Indiana Connection means he would work well with Noonan. Smallness didn't seem to hurt Marshall Leonard. P-40 is the frosting on the cake for salary considerations.

I'm hoping that we draft a defender. Even if we do use our allocation on one, we really need two. A young stud in the middle to learn under Carlos for a year or so, and either a right back or right back/mid combo, so we'd have him, Heaps, and Ralston on the right the same way we have Joey, Leonard, and Kamler on the left. Both of Mike's picks were good, though, and I wouldn't complain if we came away with those two. I'll agree we really need a speed player to stretch the defenses, and Grabavoy would do well backing up Cancela and Joseph. Plus, he's a P-40. Getting at least one P-40 is, in my mind, a priority. The other added bonus of getting Grabavoy is that he'd probably link up well with Noonan, since they played together for a few years at IU.

While I realize it's extremely unlikely, I'd love to see Cochrane drop to our spot. Marshall will go before him, and Wingert could, too. What we'd probably need would be for someone to decide that Leonard Griffin is either more polished and ready to contribute sooner, or fills a need better than Cochrane. In any case, great stuff on revsnet, Mike.

He was at practice for a few days this summer when his PDL team, the South Jersey Barons, came up this way to play the Cape Cod Crusaders.
