TRADE PETKE NOW while he still has some shread of value. By this time next season he won't be worth a dozen used balls.

what are you smoking hipityhop...I hope you're being sarcastic. I didn't see the game, but the metros sure seem to mess things up all the time. For the few good things we've done in a season we always mess it up big time at the end.

All the Metros had to do was win ONE of their last three games and they choked on them all. They should be embarassed to even show up for the play-offs if Chicago somehow finds a way to lose at home tomorrow. Great exhibition of clutch play guys!

Metro could be alright with a new coach. I still think Petke and Jolley are quality defenders. They just belong on the outside, not centrally. With the addition of some Daoda Kante type of player, the metro defense could return to respectability and give the team a chance to win. Brad Davis and Akwari are quality young prospects. Mathis, Faria, Williams, Diallo. The parts are mostly there. Everything depends on the next coach.

Metro offense is a joke! I don't care if we win or lose, or how many goals we give up.

I wanted to see if our offense can have ONE shot on goal!!!!!!!! not even to score!!!
Faria can't do anything against a good defense. Diallo is horribly positioned!!

And OZ isn't the only problem when it comes to coaching. Diallo and William gave us few goals right after the trade, but the more they play under OZ and the staff, the more ineffective they became.

Since all our good coaches went to England, look who we got!!!

The team's first touches are unbelievably bad. And no one on the team can pass the ball more than 10 yards!!
This Merlin is also one of the reason our team sucks!!!

It's pretty hard to do anything when your midfield can't even get the ball to you.

Faria hardly got to touch the ball the whole second half.

The reason he can't get the ball from the midfield is because he just stands there. He only runs when the other team has the ball. When we give up possession, half of the time is a pass to Faria. Diallo just lose it on the dribble, because he thinks he can take on everyone.

How many times we pass the ball around in the other team's third? Our forwards don't move in the box! They stand there like it's basketball.

"Faria can't do anything against a good defense."

If that is true why didn't he do anything against the Revs?

I didn't watch the game, but a multi-goal loss is rediculious with the team we can field. I knew this was gonna happen. I even posted in the line-up thread. We needed 1 point to qualify. And AGAIN OZ messes it ALL up. Mark Lisi starting? He hasn't started in 2 months, but does in the season's most important game? Let me guess, Diallo or Faria will be his scapegoat because they didn't score, even though they relied on Lisi to help bring the ball up. He should be fired Monday even if we do make the playoffs.

Just because you don't need to win, doesn't mean you shouldn't try to win. Ramos and Williams alone should have taken over the NE team. I can only name like 3 players from the Quakes, and they have the best record. We have star players in almost every position, and we still can't win.

0-3 and the best that people can do is blame Faria? People who think that Faria is the reason Metro lost tonight are the same people who think that Ronald McDonald should be blamed personally if you get a bad hamburger.

The problems run very, very deep right now. Right midfield, central defense, d-mid, and forward all need to be reconsidered for '03. Oh yeah, and the coach and GM. If Chicago gets a point tomorrow, OZ is looking for a new job on Monday.

Anybody else catch the shot of Merlin the Magnificent updating his resume during the second half?

I think that OZ is looking for a new job even if the fire loose. There is no way that this team can go into next season with him as the coach. He doesn't know how to put a starting line-up together. come on, I can see who needs to be playing and when. Lisi in mid-field instead of davis. Is davis still hurt or something. he plays much better then lisi. why can't OZ realize that the team did its best with davis, williams and ramos on the field together, from the start. Our biggest problem is mid-field. they don't pressure the ball, they can't pass or even keep the ball. Williams can dribble past anyone but can't score goals. tab is gone and we need some one to replace him now. The only thing we have to look forward to for next season is davis, akwari, moore and faria. to see how they develop. If all are still with the team.
