Interesting to see other teams uniforms this year. Especially with Colorado's new "Inter Milan" look, Chicago going with Puma, LA looking like a cheap south american team [i personally think the sash thing looks pretty dumb]

When are the Revs going to get a new look in here?
I think their uniform right now is OK, but its too simplistic. Can you picture them wearing the Nike Mercurial kits? [the same as USA, Brazil, Nigeria] I think those would look great for an MLS team.

just wondering how others feel about it

This uniform has grown on me. I like it as is. Unless they want to go back to the '99 season design (Reebok), which I liked the best, then they should stay with it. I wouldn't mind the '99 design made fron the material that Umbro uses. That would be ideal. I'm not a big fan of the Nike jerseys.

With NJ wear the Inter unis and Colorado switching to AC Milan, I say we hurry up and grab the Juventus kits before anyone else does. ;)

Same, it has grown on me as well.
No one else has our blue...nor or blue and red combo.
I would suggest the Crystal Palace theme, but there seems to a stripe fetish on the rise in MLS right now.
    What about quarters?

I really don't care. I like the current uniforms (kits), but because of Umbro's situation, I can't get them. I even tried to get one to give as a Christmas present. Nothing available.

This is really not anything new. You can generally get a soccer shirt from almost any country in the world, but the USA version is generally unavailable in the offseason (unless you want the T-shirt version).

What will most likely happen, is that we will get a few in the "Patriots" pro-shop, I will manage to get one, and then when Umbro gets dumped next year, there will be a totally new design. That way I'll have 4 out of date Rev shirts, and 3 out of date USA shirts.

I like the Reebok one from when Gorter played. I've got a game-worn of his. I also like the current one in black. I'd love to see the Revs play wearing that one.

Ps How in hell do I get rid of the yellow card thing?

    When the Umbro contract expires......

Please, please, please sign the next contract with adidas.

A world class line with plenty of styles and "the right connections." They can easily supply the New England market with merchandise in a wide variety of styles with the navy, red and white color scheme.

Please Mr. Kraft, make it adidas next year.

The current kit, particularly when they wear red socks, looks really quite good. The logo is one of the better ones, the lettering snappy enough and the double colored numbers excellent. Best uniform they've had.

On the other hand, the distribution is pathetic and the folks in charge on that score should have their heads held down in the current snowdrifts.

    Same here.

It would be nice if MLS had teams that ventured out from the blue and red color schemes a little more. When you see the Crew, you know it's them. (of course, now LA has a similar yellow/gold)

Revs being some combination of red, white and blue obviously makes sense. Fire wearing red makes sense. Leave the Crew as yellow. Why not someone in green? orange? purple? Something different. Have colors that you identify with certain teams. Not a big deal really, just thought it would be nice. Maybe teams wouldn't have to wear "road whites" so much.

I think the Rev's blue uniforms are great, it is the white ones I don't like. Here in Norway, all the teams have their home uniforms and if they clash with the other teams when on the road, they just have a blue shirt(teams with home blues have a yellow shirt if they clash on the road). I think that it works well.

I, too, am happy with the current kit. I just wish I didn't have to import from the UK just to get stuff.

I really wish Revs gear could get better distribution. I was APPALLED when I went into the pro shop at Foxboro during the MLS cup and they had practically NOTHING Revs-related. (They'd only had a bit to begin with, and of course it had sold like mad. Restock, you idiots!)

I think the problems with UMBRO have been widely and well documented

I'm sure if they had the gear they would put it out -the Krafts are shrewd business folks and if they see it sell they'll put it out. That's hard to do when you can't get any inventory

Who remembers when UMBROS North American distribution arm went out of business and all that cool soccer gear showed up at the Ocean State Job Lot ? Doesn't smack of a company with shrewd business sense to choose such rotten partners now does it ?

Once the current deal with UMBRO is over I'm sure the Revs will move on to a better supplier

So why don't they change? Would this happen if it were the Pats getting screwed? Sounds like an obvious breach of contract, so why is nothing done?
Obviously I'm an idiot and I don't know all the details, but this has been going on since Day One with Umbro. You would think, if the Krafts were "shrewed buisness folks", they would have had something written in the contract dealing with problems like these.

Because most likely the contract is to outfit the TEAM not the FANS

Can't have the Revs playing in BSSC t-shirts now can you ?

If the REVS have all the unis they need - where is the breach ? Because you don't have a replica jersey that's the breach ? Not likely

They told me BSSC is their minor league.... but what's the deal with having to play with a certain number of women on the field? Is this a combined MLS and WUSA farm team?

While we're with umbro we mine as well steal Celtic's horizontal striped jerseys and just make them red (or blue). I mean, everyone else is doing it (stealing designs that is).

Giving the visiting team a different look shouldn't be all that hard without every single opponent (other than Cloumbus) being in all white. Of course, the Metros have moved in the opposite direction, losing the balck stripes, so now they are yet another all-white opponent.

Even if they wanted to stick with the white jersey, they could at least let the teams wear colored socks/shorts with the whites. In the Revs' case, if they won't wear an all-red kit for all their away games other than Chicago, NJ, and Dallas where they can wear white, I can see them wearing a white jersey, with red socks and shorts. In Chicago, NJ, and Dallas, they can wear blue socks/shorts.

Chicago apparently will wear red shorts with their white socks and jerseys, which is a nice start, but all that does is make up for Inter Colorado, who once wore black shorts with their whites, but now is going back to the all white away unis like everyone else in the league.

A Celtic (or in our case, QPR)-like hoops setup would be nice, and you could keep the hoops for any opponent, as long as you wore white shorts/socks vs a "blue" team and blue shorts/socks vs a "white" team.
