Would it count as "retaliation" to let him go after losing 6 straight? Asking for a friend.

So has the talent pool run dry with Revs II or is Richie just a lousy coach?

Tough to say. Last year, R2 seemed to get a lot of help from the bottom of the first team roster.

This year, other than Malcolm Fry (and 4 games from Panayotou), they haven't gotten that.

What do you mean? They have gotten full seasons from Tiago Suarez and Josh Bolma, and Maciel used to be a senior revs player!

But seriously having Bolma, who is a bench player for R2, on a senior deal is another black mark on this front office.

Ha, good point. I meant guys that actually have first team minutes. And even Fry (2 games, 29 minutes) was a stretch.

R2 get their first point in 8 games, suffering a shootout loss 0(5)-0(6) to first-place CIN yesterday morning.

First team injuries continue to have a trickle-down effect, with R2 using the Academy to fill in.

Three Revs II players have been called up to their senior national teams. Escobar to Guatemala, Quinones to Puerto Rico and Monis to the Philippines.

One regulation win in their last 15 games.

Maybe this was the plan. Hang on to the rat because they kind of had to or risk the legal wrath of the whistleblower, put him in charge of the 2nd team so he's out of the way but in a legit role, have the team suck, and then be able to ship him out for poor performance.

Ha, I wish! I don't think Onalfo is smart enough to pull that off...

Yeah, I was thinking something like that... A lot of the young guys who have been getting minutes with the first team would have likely been playing for Revs II if so many first-teamers didn't get injured. And if it means that it's easier to fire Snitchie, all the better. Maybe Mike Burns will hire him in Kansas City.

And yet, it's interesting that as the young-uns are getting squeezed out of playing time by the returning vets, the Revs have mostly been loaning guys out, rather than letting them play for R2. It seems like Porter feels like they have gotten all they could get from R2 - or ..., maybe he has no faith in RWilliams to progress their development.

Makes one wonder if Porter would have replaced Richie, but maybe was told that he couldn't?

Still relying heavily on the Academy:

    Haven't won in regulation since June 13th (14 games), 0W-10L-4D (2 SW).

With only one game left in their season, R2 have locked up last place in the Eastern Conference with 22 pts, and only Colorado (23 pts) has a shot at stealing the Wooden Spoon from them.

Can they now justify firing ABMOD?

R2 finish the season at their 2nd home (SNHU) this Sunday. They are playing to avoid the Spoon, and also playing spoiler to their opponent Columbus 2, who are one point out of the final playoff spot in the East.

They are 2W-3L-2D (10 pts) at Ouellette Stadium. They have 10 pts in 6 games at Gillette, and only 2 pts on the road.
