I watched the first half and they were pretty overwhelmed. Of course, the Crew were playing a bunch of guys who played with the 1st team the night before.

Trickle-down effect: with so many kids playing for the first team, R2 had 4 academy players dressing for the first time, although only one (Olger Escobar) got into the match.

Each team earned a PK. NY hit theirs, R2 did not.

Pierre Cayet (leads team in minutes) got a second yellow in the 90+2', and will miss the next game against the Red Bulls 2 (June 4). This is one of the new rules MLS-NP is test driving.

How did Miller do? In the game I watched, most of the action was on the opposite side, so I didn't get a sense of his play.

After starting all 4 of the first games, Miller did not dress for this one. The Academy kids who did dress (in addition to Escobar) were: Gianluca Armellino, Ezra Widman, and Jack Burkhardt.

Not awarding Tico the 1st one is a bit harsh (he should have a hat trick) If Ruiz can be credited for a goal off Romeny's deflection then Tico should as well.

This was a weird one. Suarez started at RB, Quinones (a RB) started at LB, all of Fry, Diaz, and Tico started and played like wingers at the same time, and Awashie (a DM) spent the majority of his time on the field looking more like a 2nd striker. At the final whistle the revs had 3 FB and 3 CB on the field and no striker (Weverton head injury)

After Bueno came on for Awashie in the 80' things really turned around. R2 had more control in the middle and stopped giving the ball away as cheaply

Great to see Rivera step up to help end the losing streak. It seems like he's been around for a while, but I had to remind myself that he's still only 20 y.o.

I thought he was one of the better performers vs. Pittsburgh.

With the number of first-team injuries, I'm guessing we will see a lot of Academy kids tomorrow night.

After starting the season playing 9 games without a shutout, R2's Nico Campuzano (last Thu) and Jacob Jackson (Sun) post back to back clean sheets.

R2 put their 4-game winning streak on the line Sunday against Red Bulls 2.

R2 outshot CIN2 by 25:8, SOG 7:1, and had 60.4% possession, but an own goal in first half stoppage time did them in, falling 2-1 in Cincy.

POSTGAME NOTES: Revolution II fall to FC Cincinnati 2, 2-1

Ref handed out 9 yellow cards (6 to CIN). R2 played with no backup GK.

R2 are back in action at home Friday night vs TOR2 (8pm on Apple MLSSP).

I get that he's backing up Edwards, but I don't see why he couldn't make a mid-week RII game was well - I guess they have their reasons; that's what I was trying to found out.
