Since they pay to have the games broadcast, he wouldnt be around long if he slammed them

Demerit isn't making the trip, so that's nice.

Don't forget, wear your Revs gear to Chipotle tomorrow and get a buy-one-get-one-free deal.

Unless it's a Goncalves jersey. Then it's buy one burrito, they loan you another burrito that tastes good initially but quickly goes bad and they take it back.

Any truth to the rumor that Jerry Bengston is starting up top because they haven't decided on our new "goal" song yet?

I'd be willing to bet its only those in MA. I have one in town and we are 3 minutes from the MA border. I'll test this tomorrow

I don't know if that's the case any more. I think I remember hearing that Comcast is now paying the Revs, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

From hearing some of the other broadcasters around the league, yeah, some of them are pretty awful. Back in the day, we had well-respected guys like Derek Rae, Seamus Malin, and Adrian Healey, who were never afraid to say the Revs were playing poorly if that was the case. I remember Rae did go on a bit of a rant (for him at least, it was actually a bit mild, TBH) about the Revs toward the end of the seson in one of the sorry, playoff-less teams in the early years. That was his last season. He went on to bigger and better things, but whether he left the Revs on his own or they didn't want him back, we will never know.

I turned on the Philly game about 5 minutes in, and I was counting who was in the lineup and I thought, no way Goncalves isn't playing. ThenI saw he wasn't so I thought he might have picked up a last-minute injury or something, but they never ever said a word. I'm sure I was not the only one who was wondering why the team's best player wasn't there.

That's the kind of stuff that insults the intelligence of even the most casual fans. And that's something the Revs never ever seem to understand.

I think I actually got this ad on BS a few days ago, and it said New England Area. Either way, I'm not sure any Chipotle locations will actually have someone working the register who knows about this promotion, or know what revs gear actually looks like.

Nothing like going out on a limb there Jay. Not much middle ground on whether he should be in the lineup or not. Either the guy had a change in attitude or he didn't. No question you want him to play if he's shaped up. We're not talking whether you're going to start Soares or McCarthy here....

I listened to the Far Post podcast specifically to see if they'd talk about JoGo's status. It was a giant waste of time - they didn't even say his name once, let alone that he trained all week.

Who cares about that guy? Chris Tyranny's cultured left foot was playing Motzart's "Ein Kleine Nachtmuzik" on the cello at Symphony Hall.

When I hear "We'll make assessments today as to where we are with the entire team." Part of me likes to think that Gonscalves has started busting his ass in practice and Heaps wants him to talk with the guys about his bitchy attitude before they put him out on the field again.
