Perovic might be getting declined because the team doesn't want to carry a relatively expensive injured player. I can't quibble with that logic, much as I like what Perovic brings to the field when he plays.
I understand that he is coming from an ACL injury and would be playing on turf. He's only 27, though, and he can still come back from this injury. He makes $190,000 and was undeniably good for this team. I don't think it would have been dangerous to hold onto him for at least one more year. I really am not a fan of this move at all. If he were 33, I could understand the logic.

I will say that I always felt like he wasn't comfortable and or happy here. He was always very timid in interviews cause of his English, never seemed to get into some of the antics from Soares, and I'm sure the injury didn't help his cause either.

Why would he be? Who would really want to play here? American (or drafted players) are forced to play here through convoluted league rules. Other than that, is it really any wonder we can't get good international players here?
The level of negativity among the posters on this Board has risen to an all time high. It's clear that people are really enjoying themselves feeling victimized by all things associated with the Rev organization and throwing smack at anything that suggests that management understands the teams problems and is committed to finding solutions. Sure makes coming to these threads for player news and discussions about soccer a really enjoyable experience.
