The team has played well enough to win a lot in the past few weeks and finally got three last night. The team is starting to score as well as creating more and more quality chances. Richie Baker starting to get hot. TnT out but we have Noonan and Brilliant available to pair up with Dempsey. If our defense shows well we should be able to come away with points. Revs 2--Crew 1 (Dempsey and Joseph)
Interesting that a few days before another critical match most of todays posts have been on other than directly connected with team play Looks like we won't seeing Adin or Rusty back for awhile and TnT is out for this Saturday (resting up for his hat-trick against the Rhinos) but we have enough people healthy at this point to field a solid side with good options off the bench. Reis Ralston, Heaps. John, Franchino Baker, Joseph, Pepe, Kamler Noonan, Dempsey Bench: Brilliant, Leonard, Dorman, Keeper
The keeper will be Doug Warren. That looks like a great lineup for the Revs to pick up 3 points and get out of the cellar of the Eastern Conference. I see the Revs controlling this game like they have been the past few weeks and them putting their chances away. Goals by the All-stars, 2-1.
Hey, I haven't been following Revs new recently, but when did we get Warren. Traded for who? Or is it just a rent?
Warren was waived by DC United on June 30. Logically, we picked him up in a waiver draft? Or maybe he's a rental, since he belongs to the league, but not to a team. On the 10th, the Globe reported that he was going to be on our bench: http://www.boston.com/sports/soccer/articles/2004/07/10/some_happy_returns_for_revolution/ MLSNet shows him as on our roster too, kind of does away with the rental idea to me. Danny Szetela is going to be allocated in a lottery draft next week. Wonder if we have a shot?
As far as I know he's signed by the League as one of their Rent a Keeper's. With both Singer and Brown out for a significant time he's--part of the Revs--till one of the others returns.
