I tend to like the opening line of my favorate yuletide tune---"Mutts being roasted on an open fire, Noonan poaking at their goal" and of c ourse the song ends with our favorate line---"and to the Mutts it's been said many times many ways piles of doodo to you"

Best wishes to you all for a safe and joyious Holiday Season

Ok, it's not great, but here goes:

In the backyard we can build a snowman.
We'll pretend that he is Adin Brown.
We'll kick snowballs all around the goal, man,
and Mr. Brown will surely knock them down.

    Later on, we'll conspire,
on ways to douse, the Chicago Fire.
    We'll sing our Rev songs,
    And ramble along,
    in our Revolution wonderland.

Abusive carols being sung by the Fort,
in the heat wearing scarves like eskimoes

Everybody knows some Guiness and some jello shots
help to make our spirits new

To the tune of "Hark, ...."

    Harkes, the Boston Herald thinks,
    Your Wrap commentary really stinks.
    Sean is bad,
    But you are worse,
Please remove yourself from this verse.

Okay, so songwriter I am not, but fun trying...

Taylor and Brown (sung to "Silver and Gold")

Taylor and Brown, Taylor and Brown
The other teams wish for Taylor and Brown
How do we know what we know?
Just by watching them play the ‘boro

Taylor and Brown, Taylor and Brown
Mean so much more when we see
    Clean sheets and goals decorating
    On every game scoresheet

Another one involving our big keeper...
(this one sung to "O Holy Night)

    O holy line
    The balls once were finding
That shapely net, but not since our Adin’s birth
Long under seige our boys were not together
Till he appeared, and we all felt his worth
The thrill of hope, the weary Fort rejoices
For yonder flies that goalkick to Taylor
Fall to the Mutts no more
    O hear the Riders’ voices
    O Soccer Saturday Night Devine
O Night when Cup hopes were born
O night, O Soccer Saturday Night
O Night when Cup hopes were born

I wanted badly to work on lyrics for "I Came Upon A Piss-Poor Clear", but I've got to get ready for holiday visitors, so I must ready the egg nog and crudites.
    Happy Christmas to all! :D

Okay, so I missed this thread before Christmas. Happy New Year!

    Should losing seasons be forgot
    And never brought to mind?
Should former struggles go for naught?
    Past mem'ries left behind?

No, we'll not hide them from the light,
    The Fort remembers yet!
The vict'ry's sweeter for the fight.
    Oh no, we won't forget!

    For Welton, Burns, and Okaroh,
    And even Walter Z,
We honor them because we know
    Our storied history!

So raise a glass of cheer, my friend!
A toast to old and new!
    From Stapleton to Stevie N.
    New England, we love you!
