Let me guess, a Boston mayor is commenting about a soccer stadium during the World Cup followed by ..nothing. When have we seen that before? Yawn... nothing to see here.
My rep upgraded us to a box. I suspect they do that for every STH, which is smart, because after all it's the revs and corporate box seats are mostly left empty. These days the STH renewal process is ongoing (which makes more sense IMHO), not a traditional time-based full-court press. The revs are getting savvier about their sales process and letting the experience sell itself, differentiating them from Boston's big 4. Box upgrades, the road trip to NY or Philly as part of your package is brilliant. Have to give them credit for that.
I sat in a box once a few years ago. It was a nice view, and I moved to the first row of the red seats, but it was a little antiseptic and sterile...
I did sit in a lug-jury box at a Celtics game once, and it was all well and good, but yes, I would have liked being more out in the main area where fans are. The best seats I ever had was when my old (now defunct) company had seats right behind the visiting team's bench at the Celtics. There was a rookie referee, and some of the guys on the bench were brutal!
I have been invited up there a few times. I finally took them up on the offer last year for one half (that's all I could stand). God damn it was awful.
My family used to sit up there regularly when we had a player living with us. It is not the same experience. The food was a little better but that was the only plus.
I'd pay a modest premium to have a small number of floating upgrade coupons to get into the club seats. March and April can be brutal, weather-wise.

"Jonathan... let's touch base with the folks over at Rand-Whitney Container and find out whether we could build one of these modular stadiums out of corrugated cardboard boxes."
I hate that I'm helping propagate this ... but... The Jorge Mas stadium quote. #NERevs pic.twitter.com/dPtnlAyrUY— Geno Anderson (@YahMoTweetHere) July 17, 2018 Not sure of the extent of Mas' knowledge, but rumors of an imminent Revs stadium announcement are definitely making the rounds this week. https://t.co/jPIRQK3uBa— Charles Boehm (@cboehm) July 17, 2018
NESN article on Mas' mention: https://nesn.com/2018/07/are-revolution-planning-to-build-soccer-stadium-in-downtown-boston/ Supposedly, near the Gahden!?
Twitter is ablaze with renewed energy and vigor for all things stadia. A fascinating bit of psychology happening there right now.
I predict the Revs will break ground on a new SSS before we get to "Revolution Stadium Groundbreaking "12-24 months" Part XXX"
.@marty_walsh spokeswoman Samantha Ormsby responds on #NERevs Boston stadium: "Mayor Walsh has always said that he’s interested in building a soccer stadium in Boston, however there is currently no proposal before the city."— Six States One Pod🎙 (@SixStatesOnePod) July 17, 2018
I think the Revs are going to have to make a statement of some kind, like it or not. They must be bs at this guy for running his mouth.
#NERevs news update: No plans for #SSS in Boston, despite Mas claim. Got comment from zoning board and Mayor Walsh for @ProSoccerUSAcom https://t.co/Rs3VHyYm68— Julian Cardillo (@JulianCardillo) July 17, 2018
