if anyone has any corrections or a source i'm missing... please let me know it helps myself and gpk with the morning news... in addition, i hope some of you might use it to contact your local paper... or even espn or fox sports world (check my sig "-US Soccer Media Directory" to see what i'm doing on the grand scale) thanks -jim
FYI Standard-Times will run stories Sat and Sun , home games only, and Don has a weekly column that runs every Wed. Unfortunately, some of the above newspapers now require that you sign up to access their content, and not everyone is willing to do that.
thanks for the note... i'll get that in as for signing up... that's no excuse... just use bigsoccer/bigsoccer and if it asks for email use bigsoccer@bigsoccer.com i got no clue who set them all up, but they are there for our use... oh yeah, the ny times is bigsoccer2/bigsoccer... some jerk changed the password and someone set up a new one
Many thanks for posting these contacts. Vega's articles also appear in the MetroWest Daily News (also associated with the Herald). He covers Breakers, Renegades and sometimes the US Nats as well. I think it's usually in notebook form. For example: On soccer: Sizzling start for Meinert By Damian Vega May 18, 2003 http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/sports/columnists/scolvega05182003.htm MetroWest Daily News contact info: Sports: 508.626.3987 metrowest.sports@cnc.com Mike Biglin also writes articles for the MetroWest Daily News from time to time. I remember a few US articles during the World Cup. Also covers Revs. Currently, it appears he's been reporting on high school sports. Might mean Vega will be the only soccer guy. E-mail Mike Biglin at mbiglin@cnc.com, or call him at 508-626-4402
