Merry Christmas, all. Found "Team USA -- Coming of Age" in my stocking this morning along with "My Way." It's an officially licenced highlights DVD by the same folks that do Futbol Mundial and the Premier League preview and wrapup shows on FSW. I loved it. While "My Way" is more of an insider's look, this is more of a third-party's wrapup of the U.S. performance. And no Jack Edwards (they use British commentators Jon Champion and Jim Proudfoot). If you're going to buy one, "My Way" is obviously the way to go. But if you're going to buy a second, "Coming of Age" is a must, if only for the exceptional way that the highlights packages are edited.
Both I received both for Christmas and have yet to watch either one...the All the Goals of World Cup 2002 video was a solid 2 and half hours so that took up most of my free time yesterday. I'll post my reactions to them once I have a chance to sit down and watch them. Just wanted to mention that I love the "Say Anything" quote...I often use that as an away message...however I prefer "How many of them really know what they want though? I mean, a lot of them think that they have to know, right, but inside they don't really know so...I don't know, but I know that I don't know."
Re: Both What's in the All the Goals video? I got the Highlights one. The Highlights show all the goals and most of the near misses and great saves from each game. All the games are shown in chronological order. The program runs two hours. It also includes the top-10 dribbling moves and top-10 goal celebrations. How is the goals video different?
"All the Goals" shows ALL 161 goals from the whole tournament. I haven't seen it, I just read about it when I got "Coming of Age".
Alright folks, some help here. I know that the USSoccer tape/DVD (Our Way, not My Way, I think) is available at ussoccer.com. Where can I find the others? thanks.
Difference in Videos There's not all that much of a difference between the All the Goals video and the Highlights video...I have both as I was given the whole World Cup set as a Christmas present. The only real difference is that while the highlights video shows each goal one time, the all the goals video shows each goal about 5 or 6 times from a number of different angles.
