Is this about right? Here's a positional snapshot of the U-20s as we draw closer to the Revelations Cup. pic.twitter.com/JFljuorzCh— Justin Moran (@kickswish) November 6, 2021 Was Oliva invited? 1457015648719093772 is not a valid tweet id
Any television for this game tomorrow? It isnt listed on livesoccertv and the u20 page on usssoccer.com hasn't been updated in a couple of years. It still has the roster from the 2019 WC and no games scheduled.
None of the services I use the most seem to have TUDN (nothing on Roku's channel guide or YouTube TV) but @DCFAN's callout of FIOS is a good one. I'm a customer and had no idea it was even a thing...
But not, apparently, the FUBO network that's on Roku Live. Or something? This process has successfully shown me that I have access to a LOT more soccer than I realized -- but not to anything carrying the Revelations Cup...
FUBO is a streaming service on its own. I expect the FUBO channel there is more of a best of / advertising stream.
Yeah. I briefly got excited when I saw it in the channel lineup yesterday but apparently at game-time today there's a Strong Man competition or something like that.
My normal alternatives don't have anything at least as of yet. You can go to TUDN directly https://www.tudn.com/tudn-livestream-24-7 and unlock access with pretty much any cable login if you've got one handy. I'll look again later today, maybe it'll be up then
Sounds like typical parent-of-snubbed-athlete talk to me. I'm sure Patrick ('03 at Venezia I believe) and Matthew (academy of Casa Pia AC in Liga Portugal 2) are talented in their own right, but I don't think there's any indication that they're U20 worthy at the moment. Time will tell, though.
I don't mean that they are better or even as good as those kids that are selected, but they have traceable history in Portugal and Italy.
It's a little early to start complaining. We haven't had any U20 call ups in almost 2 years. They've only had a coach for a couple of days. There will probably be a Euro camp in the future, so they will be at least considered.
I think that Luna is better on the ball, than both Clark and Aaronson. He doesn't get a lot of hype, like those 2 but he is something special.
Leyva and McGlynn simply doesn't work, especially against Brasil. I'm coming around to the notion that maybe Leyva should be started for experience & ability, but then you need to get creative to highlight his strengths while hiding his weaknesses. That might mean putting a lesser talent around him who's defensive-minded, like Edelman or Garay, at least v. a team as strong as Brasil. I'm compelled to get more attacking talents on the field because that's the roster strength, but this is not the game to try and fit all or near it in. It would be hard to exclude any of Clark, Aaronson, & Cowell the way they've played. And I'm a big Sullivan fan, so I want to play him too. Maybe you have a front 3 of Cowell, Aaronson, and Sanogo w/ a cm of Clark, Sullivan, Leyva. It's pretty offensive on paper, but more mobile than some combos, like w/ Mcglynn. You're asking for trouble there. Or you drop in Edelman/Garay next to Leyva for support, and then sacrifice a Sullivan, otherwise start him w/ Cowell up top and drop Sanogo. I don't know Mikey Varas from a hole in the wall, but if he can make this work against Brasil, and in this mini tourney, he's a hell of a coaching prospect. Because conundrums abound. Also it would say a lot about, at least aspects, of the pool.
