Interesting BTW that Pierce may play on the right rather than the middle. Question is, is this because: a) Nicols doesn't think a dinged-up Pierce is quite up to anchoring the middle. b) Nicols wants Rusty on the same side of the field as Beasley.
Meanwhile, several threads on the Chicago Fire board consider arrangement's for the Fire's playoff game next Wednesday against Columbus. It's a wonder they even decided to play this one... Well, being fair to the Fire faithful on this one, they do have a good rivalry with the Crew and have done quite well to make their presence known there on away trips. So it's not a bad idea to look ahead to this weekend should they advance, getting things in place so they can go to Columbus to be a visual and audible presence. I'm sure if we faced Metro in the playoffs and faced a similar contingency the Riders would try to do something similar. The Magpie
