Chris Cowles in the Worcester Telegram reports that Rusty Pierce will play outside right and that Jay Heaps will move to the center next to Daouda Kante for tonight's match.

all right......i'm always really leary of the w.c.'s forecasts (seen storms that were 12 hrs off when they said it'll be here in the next couple). anyway, wcvb seems to confirm the 30% chance of rain thru game time theory.

let's hope we get the 70%.

Locker room wall reading for the New England Revs:

Beasely, Bradley say Fire will reach MLS Cup - Chicago Daily Herald

    Can you say, "Steve Jolley"?

Meanwhile, several threads on the Chicago Fire board consider arrangement's for the Fire's playoff game next Wednesday against Columbus.

It's a wonder they even decided to play this one...

Interesting BTW that Pierce may play on the right rather than the middle. Question is, is this because:

    a) Nicols doesn't think a dinged-up Pierce is quite up to anchoring the middle.

    b) Nicols wants Rusty on the same side of the field as Beasley.

Well, being fair to the Fire faithful on this one, they do have a good rivalry with the Crew and have done quite well to make their presence known there on away trips. So it's not a bad idea to look ahead to this weekend should they advance, getting things in place so they can go to Columbus to be a visual and audible presence.

I'm sure if we faced Metro in the playoffs and faced a similar contingency the Riders would try to do something similar.

    adding to the magpie

if it's you guys taking on the crew... i'll be supporting you, hell i'll be supporting you guys to the cup

just lose tonight though so that i don't have to deal with this

i've already dealt with the fire not being in the cup last year, i don't think this should be something that occurs two years in a row... i mean give a guy a break, i've suffered enough

You're right: this *shouldn't* be something that occurs seven years in a row.
