I saw that he's a mid. Any chance that this guy and Nyassi can play left, putting Smith... elsewhere, at least? I'm not expecting them to get an instant starting spot, just challenging for Smith's position. I think it'll be good for Khano having to fight for the starting line, prove he's a player worthy in the eleven. After a while, we might just yell at him a little less.

    Might.

    No guarrentees.

Could someone recap what positions these two guys feel comfortable playing?

I think it's a midfielder and defender, and Nyassi played on the right against Carolina.

They're both mids. Other than the fact that Nyassi played on the right Tuesday night, I'm not sure where either of them are most comfortable.

So are the Revs officially the team with the most difficult names in MLS? Larentowicz, Shalrie, Amaechi Igwe, Sainey Nyassi and Abdoulie Mansally. I feel bad for the away commentators in a few years:p

Can you imagine what the press conferences will be like? SN can be hard enough to understand at times at it is. Try comprehending when he says "Abdoulie Mansally is a wee lad..."

    :p

Another good pickup. Does he help us this year though? Just wondering...

DAMN! The revs pulled it off. I'll be happy if only one of these guys becomes a real contributor this season. All I need is a little improvement over what we had to be satisfied. Just move in the right direction.

My hope is that we have a little sucess with these guys and the FO wakes up and realizes that doing this stuff is worth while.

now, the question is, did they approach the revs like abundis did last year or did the revs actually do homework.

It will be interesting to see if the new guys get any minutes in MLS games or if Nyassi's appearance was a one-off based purely on necessity.

History doesn't give them too much hope I'm afraid, but a couple of fresh, fast legs late in the game could be a huge boost.

This should be required reading for all the developmental players the Revs pick up. Work hard, be patient, know your role, do the best you can. Mr Larentowicz is off to a very good start in life.
